The game had potential but the developer made it unnecessarily hard to achieve positive endings. What I mean by this is the artificial barrier included in the game. If you go back to chase your favorite girl, you will end up greatly offending everyone in that chapter. This results in losing a ton of points, meaning you might not clear the chapter. You can end up getting locked out of EVERY chapter unless you complete the designated route. It's designer's choice, not your choice on where to go or who to pursue at the specific time. Sure, you can pick whatever you want but you will be locked out of the next chapter. I'm guessing they added this barrier for replay value. It was a poor execution. The chapter progression blockade makes me not want to touch the game.

He warned me it was the hardest [b]FMV[/b] he’d ever played, and that instantly grabbed my attention. After finishing the game with [b]100% achievements[/b] and earning a [b]perfect game[/b], I’m ready to share my thoughts and give some advice to anyone curious about it. [h3]The Story:[/h3] The game starts by throwing you straight into the deep end, you wake up in an unfamiliar place after a night of heavy drinking and have to piece together the events of the previous night. The game focuses less on having a “plot” it’s more about enjoying the ride and having more of an experience. If you're seeking a deep, story-driven [b]FMV[/b], this might not be the game for you. [h3]The Characters:[/h3] [b]Li Shiying:[/b] The standout character for me [b](Waifu)[/b]. [b]Li Shiying[/b] is your supportive, long-time friend. A sporty, disciplined, and cheerful woman, she’s passionate about yoga and loves to laugh and have a good time [b]Zhang Xinyan:[/b] Daughter of a wealthy family. [b]Zhang Xinyan[/b] is the confident achiever. She comes from money but is all about paving her own path. She’s independent, strong, and secretly dreams of freedom in love, and aims to achieve greatness on her own terms. [b]Fang Xin:[/b] Your work driven CEO. [b]Fang Xin[/b] is driven and focused on her career, which can make her hard to connect with at first. But deep down, she’s sweet, caring, and willing to risk it all for love. [b]Li Meixuan:[/b] The party animal. [b]Li Meixuan[/b] is Seductive, playful, provocative and a little wild, she seeks fun to escape her mundane job. She loves to drink and have fun with you. Despite her flirty nature, she’s kind and fiercely loyal. [b]Xia Ruoxi:[/b] The damsel in distress. [b]Xia Ruoxi[/b] is shy but caring and also very clumsy. She’s mature, steady, and very much the “girl-next-door” type. Super sweet, but also a bit reserved and jealous. [b]Yu Hui:[/b] Small business owner [b]Yu Hui:[/b] The gentle introvert. She runs a small hairpin business and is kind, innocent, and empathetic. She really understands people and always tries to make others happy. [h3]The Translation[/h3] The English translation is really good. Everything makes sense and is easy to follow, except for one untranslated sticky note. Other than that, no complaints! [h3]Phone and Exploration Mechanics:[/h3] Like a lot of [b]FMV[/b] games, the mechanics can feel clunky at times. The exploration sections are quick and skippable (just press Q), but the phone sections can drag on a little bit since there’s no way to speed them up or skip ahead. [h3]The Difficulty[/h3] [b]Seduction of Beauty[/b] has a reputation for being tough, and I get it. You’re often forced to pick specific options to progress the story, which can be frustrating if it’s not with the character you’re interested in. That said, it’s not really the [b]studio’s[/b] fault. [b]Steam’s[/b] censorship rules mean some scenes that could help you build relationships with certain characters were removed. If you play this on [b]Epic Games[/b], it’s supposedly easier and has more content, so keep that in mind before buying on [b]Steam[/b]. [h3]Final Thoughts[/h3] [b]Seduction of Beauty[/b] is a fun little [b]FMV[/b]. It’s not groundbreaking or super emotional, but it’s enjoyable. If you’re in the mood for some lighthearted fun and beautiful characters, this might be the game for you. Zhang Xinyan is waifu. A couple things to know for the English players considering this game. I have mostly positive opinions about this game from the acting to the story telling, its not spectacular but few FMV are. It will be right up your alley if you enjoyed games like Love is All Around, and the English translations are good enough that I didn't end up too confused. I highly recommend getting the game and trying it out, if nothing else to support the Chinese FMV industry as games like these are really cool and this studio did a good job. So what are the cons? Well for one, this game is extremely difficult by FMV standards, Many actions will lose you hearts with other characters, and for the first 5 chapters it feels like you have to strike a very delicate balance between the characters to guarantee you get enough hearts to make it to Chapter 6. To be blunt, I had to look up a guide at that point because I was totally lost. The good news is that when you make it to Chapter 6, you no longer need to care about meeting heart requirements, you can go back and pick all the answers for your waifu, then just skip ahead to Chapter 6 and get an easy Heart Ending (If this isn't intentional 天啊 (jesus christ) this game would be too hard.) One thing I will say to be very careful about, is to watch what you spend your intimacy points on. I didn't quite know what they were at first, you get them from maxing out chapters and getting achievements. They do not affect your heart progress as I initially thought. You spend them on the leaderboard for your favorite Waifu. ONLY SPEND THEM ON ONE. You have a limited amount, and they are non-refundable. They impact the special features you can see for a girl, and I am worried there won't be enough hearts to max out my waifu because I accidentally spread them out across two girls in the beginning.
