Secret Cats - Spooky

In summary - three average and bland hidden object games for which I can only give a lukewarm recommendation because of the cheap bundled price; there are much better hidden object games on Steam, and I would rather pay more for a greater challenge and/or more sophistication. This is a joint review for three of the developer's "Hidden Cats" games - Haunted Mansion, Spooky & Zoo - which I bought as a Halloween bundle. My total play time to complete all three was 25 minutes - in fact Zoo represents 14 minutes of the total, and my time in the other two games wasn't even enough for the Steam system to ask for a review. All three appear identical in operation: - a single monochrome cartoon-style scene with 100 hidden cats (which are coloured in when found) - a penalty-free hint button which highlights a hidden cat exactly rather than indicating a wider area, so not really a hint. If the player is zoomed in to one area and the cat is on another part of the scene, they won't see the highlighting at all - a zoom feature which isn't quite good enough for some tiny or mostly obscured cats - there are none of the special effects of some other hidden object games e.g. animations, colouring of parts or all of the scene (other than the found cats), or cats totally hidden inside or behind objects In terms of the individual games, Zoo is the trickiest partly because a number of cats are either very small or mostly hidden behind something, and partly because of the number of other animal shapes in the scene; I had to resort to zooming in fully early on in the game. Haunted Mansion is the easiest and I only had to use zoom for the final cat; as others have mentioned, it seems to be particularly suited to children. And Spooky is somewhere in-between - I needed to use zoom only for the final four cats. So, nothing horrible or broken in the three games, but nothing to get excited about or well entertained by either. I doubt if I will play any further games in this particular series.

The Hidden Cats series are great short games with a little more depth than your average hidden cat game, and some really nice art to go with it.

Hidden Cats - Spooky, ist ein sehr schönes und spaßiges Katzen-Wimmelbild Spiel. Man sollte um die 3 Minuten für alle Katzen einplanen.

Great game for passing time while you are on the phone waiting for the bill collector to pick up the phone. Beautiful graphics, some of the cats were very small. Short game, finished it in under 15 minutes. 10/10.

Find the 100 cats in the spooky background. Decent. Purchase in bundle.

Another cute little game from the Hidden Cats franchise! The game features a small picture with a zoom function, but it’s remarkable how easy it is to miss an obvious cat! Luckily, there’s a helpful hint system—just zoom out, click the help icon, and a purple light will highlight the missing cat. Be sure to zoom out first, though, or you might miss it! The hint system is great for lots of searches since there doesn’t seem to be a limit on how often you can use it. It’s especially helpful if you’re playing with kids or if your eyes start to blur from all the kitty hunting! Support the devs because they also provide free games, and this keeps those coming. Plus, it’s not expensive at all!

Ein einfaches Suchspiel bei dem man ,,gruselige'' Katzen in einem Halloweenbild finden muss. Diese sind meiner Meinung nach recht einfach versteckt, wodurch das Spiel bereits nach 2-3 min beendet ist. Ob es sich preislich lohnt muss jeder für sich selbst wissen, dennoch erfüllt es seinen Zweck weshalb ich dem eher eine Semi Wertung geben würde. Ich persönlich würde auch eher das Bundle dazu empfehlen, da man hierbei auch nochmal 2 Spiele dazubekommt wodurch es preislich etwas günstiger wird.

Cute but very simple. You can't move around or zoom in, and there's no hint button. The cats all had adorable names though!
