[b]Note:[/b] An awesome friend gifted me a copy of this game. ^^ [h1]Diving into a winter wonderland. ^^[/h1] [h2]Introduction[/h2] [i]Hidden Cats - Winter[/i] is a cozy, cute hidden object game developed and published by Hidden Cats. The objective is simple. 100 cats are hidden all over a wintry area, and you have to find them all. After you spot a cat, you use the left mouse button to click on it. You can zoom in and out of the scene using the mouse wheel, and you can adjust the brightness of the game screen. A tracker that lets you know how many cats are left is in the upper right screen, and a hint function in the form of a magnifying glass is available (and you don't need to wait for it to recharge after using it). Also, you can choose from among 3 music tracks, located in the lower right screen. Of course, plenty of Steam achievements are available, but they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "Steam is learning about this game". [h2]Review[/h2] It's relaxing to play one of these short hidden object games, and [i]Hidden Cats - Winter[/i] is perfect to play for the winter season (or any time of year, really). The gameplay is simple but fun. I had no problems finding all of the cats in the scene, and it really helps to have the hint and zoom functions available. All of the achievements unlocked for me without any problems. With the art, there's just one background, but it's drawn very well. The same goes for the cat sprites, and they look extremely cute. It really makes for a refreshing change from just having one track. I'm unsure if this is a recent addition or if this has always been the case since I admit that I didn't pay attention to this feature until now. lol However, I'll keep a lookout when it comes to future releases. XD Anyway, the tracks all have that lovely, relaxing Christmas winter theme, putting you in the right mood as you go about finding all the cute kitties. [h2]Conclusion[/h2] Overall, would I recommend [i]Hidden Cats - Winter[/i]? For those who have been reading my reviews, you'll probably already have a good guess, but yes, I totally would. It's a wonderful, short game to play during this time of year, and it's very heartwarming to find cute kitties in a snowy, wintry wonderland. For the asking price, it's a good deal, and it's in a Steam bundle, so you can save quite a bit if you have the other games in it. Hidden Cats Winter is a cozy little hidden object game that delivers exactly what it promises: a calm, feel good experience wrapped in charming winter vibes The winter theme works wonderfully. Soft colors, seasonal decorations, and a relaxed atmosphere make it an excellent game to unwind with, especially during colder months. There’s no pressure, no timers, and no complex mechanics just pure, relaxing gameplay.

Casual Hidden Cats series returns for the next Holiday season. This is another little game amid a sea of identical games in which you must find 100 cats. The image is small and depicts a scene at a ski resort, but some cats found a creative hiding place. You must really open your eyes because some are hidden behind objects and only expose a portion of their body. Zoom-in is available, but it's not very useful because you can enlarge the image only for a little bit. However, the game is still quite simple and can be completed in less than ten minutes. Each found cat earns you an achievement.

Typical hidden cat game : neither good nor bad, but it's extremely short. The cats are cute, the adjustable light gradient is nice, and the picture is amusing. This one is a bit longer than some others in the series, but still quite short (around 5 minutes). After my playthrough, I tested the hint system and was disappointed to see that it doesn’t give clues—it just outright reveals the missing cat’s location, which is a huge con for a hidden object game in my opinion. The hand drawn artwork is fantastic and I will admit some the cats are harder to find this time around, but still. Only a few minutes of game time and not much else to do after that. Recommending it only because it's not a bad game, but not entirely worth the cost.
