I should mention here that I have been playing this game for years and my review might be a bit bias but still I’ve seen the game grow and know quite a bit about it, so perhaps it might be biased but its throughout. I was just going to do a short review then I thought, eh why not do something long and formal. Pros: Long quirky split questline, you can do both parts on the same character if you want as well. Factions, groups, and guilds. Player market and personal/guild vault system. Trading system. Multiple, customizable chat logs. Multiple races with different skills. In game purchases. (Tokens represent real life cash). Daily grind where you have a chance to win tokens. Contests and other events that you can do with a team or try out solo. Lots of achievements. Crafting, enchanting and collection system. PvP is optional (but beneficial). [enable to pvp you must drink juice, this is called ‘juicing’] Dueling. Helpful community. Large map. Combat and vanity pets. Player color, pattern and size customization. Player instances (land/home) and objects to place there. Options for role players like animations, emoting and player biographies. There’s a skill build for pretty much anyone. Lots of skills from each race help the other so it’s great for team play. Been playing for years and am still learning/finding new things. Cons: The questline can get a bit difficult when searching for certain items, sometimes you can find these items on the market however or by trading. Juicing can cause drama if you complain about being killed, if you are not interested in pvp(player versus player), please do not juice. Also, if you’re going to be AFK step into a safe zone. Someone might accidently AFK kill you doing a stealth attack not realizing you’re afk. (or they did it on purpose –shrugs-). Either way you’re vulnerable to other players while juiced and members of the opposite faction may attack you. It is nearly impossible to 100% this game. Some of the achievements can only be given by game masters, it may be impossible to get all of them, but you could sure try! (You’ll be a legend.) Tips: If you’re going to be juiced it’s easier to play with those of the same faction. Go through the questline at least once, it’s really fun, quirky and helps you understand the game better. If you’re having trouble with a quest ask for help, if you’re looking for a resource check the market. Make multiple characters of multiple races, each race is unique in its own way. Participate in events and contests. Buy a collection album, it makes the game so much more organized. The player base: The player base is pretty close with each other for the most part. As with any pack there is an omega who turns their back on the rest but that’s a tale for another time. They’re very helpful to newbies so if you have a question, don’t be afraid to ask someone. The game masters and administrators: Great people, these guys. Even if they’re afk they’ll still send you a message and answer any questions when they’re available. If you have any bug reports you can let them know. I recommend this game 10/10. There’s something in it for everyone and it’s free to play!

Funny......I don't remember dropping acid tonight.
it helped me against my heroin addiction!
We don't just have cursed images. We also have cursed games. I feel I need to recommend this or I will be cursed as well.
This game was shown to me last night when I was searching for a game to buy, and fortunately this game came across my search. The video displaying the game showed much to be desired, and the reviews were raving about the quality of the game play, story, graphics, sound, and that it was an experience for the ages. After only 30 minutes of playing i can say with certainty that the reviewers were all not only right, but have seen the light of the true peak of video game art. The graphics are more stunning than any Dark Souls remaster, and the story rubs side by side with the greatest epics of human history. The Odyssey and The Great Gatsby have nothing on this top tier story with its twists and turns and stunning narrative. The game play offers difficult but rewarding combat and intense boss fights, with minimal need for in game purchases, truly a good contender for the Souls Series and I would recommend this to any fans of the Dark Souls games. The soundtrack gave me fond memories of playing Hotline Miami and every single song is memorable, as if burned into my thoughts. I can say with certainty, that this game has proven to me that there is only one video game that I need, and that humanity needs. 1/10 Jesus died for nothing.
I have been playing SHL for 13 years and I've made some pretty great friends, some of who I'm still friends with to this day and I wouldn't trade what I have with them for the world. Some little pointers, because I'm quite biased when it comes to this game haah; - The community is a tight knit group of people; we're friendly and willing to help, we've been around long enough to give pointers and whatnot. - Fun and eventful quest line; they can get quite tiresome but they're worth it to see what the game is all about. - There are many items on this game and then you have crafting to make your own the way you want them. - The skill tree can be clunky but it's easy once you get the hang of it and know what skills go best together. You are only limited by the four trees but other than that, you can mix them up however you want. Older members can give you advice on the best skills for PvP if needed. - Factions such as bo peep and little red riding hood for things like PvP and events; contests are also quite fun to do. - Tokens can be bought with real money and they give you access to things like pets, combat monkies etc. - Game Masters are quite friendly and always willing to help, they like to go afk but they return...eventually. - Guilds are a neat way to team up with friends or simply use for PvP, plus the guild vault is handy for sharing things between the guild. - Its an open world concept, there's lots to do to keep you occupied. - You can have your own land if you buy a land deed, you can decorate it with certain items and invite people to it by making them guests. SHL has had some ups and downs throughout the years but Bobby has worked so hard this year to make it what it was again, and now it's thriving on steam, please try not to judge a book by it's cover (graphics :p) and give the game a chance, it's very enjoyable with a group of people or even by yourself. I've enjoyed this game for many years and I hope to enjoy it for many more to come.
actually one of the worst games ever made, cant recommend enough
Truly an outstanding game. With its graphics, soundtrack, and excellent story, it stands out against all the other MMOs. And that boing - that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sound that plays every time you jump - is truly the most charming sound that has blessed my ear drums. I had a blast with all the fake players around the map, and even scored myself a hot catgirl gf! 10/10 I had a blast eating her ass to the sound of beautiful classical music.

I really tried to give this game a chance. Its a decent game with a major problem, especially for a MMORPG and that is population. Over the last week or so I have logged in for a couple hours, even left the game idle and rechecking /who commands to see how many are online. I did some in the morning, afternoon and night time as well. The pop never went over 3 people. The only burst of activity was on a saturday where I seen 10. Other than that the game constanly has no more than 2-3 people at any given time. I don't know you but MMORPG that have that amount of people = a single player experience. PROS ------ Child like quest with very funny dialog. Its very cool once you get speed items to drop. Interesting crafting and token system which are given daily. Cons ----- Most of the monsters are stacked on top of each other. Many times you will attack thinking its one and its 2-3 of them. Some quest are grindy as hell and that leads to boredom and repetition. No one else is really playing 3 people at the most. (check steamcharts) Extremely poor tutorial explaining how to get scrapper tiles to work and crafting in general. Source of gold is only via selling equip drops. I can't recommend a game that is empty really. Even though it seems like a game to log in for a bit and chill, the end goal is kind of a waste of time if your playing an MMO alone.
