About
Second Stellar is a horde roguelike that focuses on engaging gameplay and buildcrafting. Fight through swaths of enemies and powerful bosses as two characters simultaneously, wielding unique weaponry and discovering potent combinations in pursuit of the galaxy's many secrets.

Cosmic voyages require a powerful arsenal; the Starfarers can draw upon the memories of other worlds in battle, capitalizing on their unique abilities to gain the upper hand in combat.
Unlike other horde roguelikes, weapons have multiple skills and passives, requiring mastery to draw out their potential.
Gameplay consists of two characters per run: each character obtains their own weapon and when leveling up will acquire their own items. In the midst of battle, swap between characters at will to wield their weapons in tandem to dramatic effect.

On your journey, visit varied and novel worlds, from neon skyscrapers to the depths of alien oceans.
At the end of your voyages, contend with powerful elite foes borne from distant memories, each with their own arsenal and battlefield. Utilize the strength you gained through the course of the voyage to best these foes and claim victory.
Upgrade your characters post-Voyage, unlocking their unique skill trees- each character has their own set of abilities to acquire. Change your dash into an invincible blink, summon a mechanical ally to fight foes, amplify the effect of character swapping and more. Discover unlimited combinations of skills, weapons, characters, and items in your quest to chart the cosmos.

Follow the story of Second Stellar as twin Starfarers Asphodene and Eridani venture forth for the many answers they seek. As wielders of the unknown potential of Mnemoria, their journey will provoke conflict and cooperation around every corner. Meet allies, foes, and anyone in between- perhaps even recruiting them to your cause. As a matter of course, you'll need all the help you can acquire to reveal the truth behind the Voyager.

Reviews
The game is entertaining and has a good story. It still has a lot of potential — it's still in beta and has things to improve. I haven't played much yet but I'm enjoying it.
In short: put this game on your wishlist for now, but try the demo (it has no story). The artstyle looks good, and the music is great. The story is quite short at the moment but has a quick, enjoyable pace. There's a short learning curve if you're coming from other bullet heavens, but it's very fun once you get the hang of it. If you only plan to get through the story, the difficulty is minimal. A couple of levels (not even all of them) and you're done. But having a story in a bullet heaven is already more than most I feel.
