**Pretty average.** Scritchy Scratchy isn't a bad game, but it isn't anything amazing either. It's a pretty standard indie game that I had an okay time playing. Nothing really stood out to me, but I didn't dislike it either. If you're looking for something simple to play for a bit, it's worth checking out, but don't expect anything too special. **6/10 — Not bad, not great, just a decent indie game.**

I really like the core concept here & the graphics are quite charming (I love the msPaint vibe and overall style, indicating that the game developer doesn't take the whole game concept "too serious"). The main gameplay loop is genuinely fun and satisfying to go through—at least for the first few hours. That said, it leaves a lot to be desired in terms of longevity. Once you've beaten the game & unlocked all the achievments this game will be collecting dust over in your library. There's no point in touching it again. The main story is too short, and once you beat it, the game gets repetitive really fast. It needs more extra content to keep you hooked. I’d love to see more gadgets added to spice things up, or even something like a stock market or gambling mechanic to give us more options to play around with. Adding some deeper lore and a more fleshed-out story would also do wonders for the overall world-building. My biggest complaint right now is the achievement for unlocking all perks. The end-game grind is just painful. Having to slog through multiple entire runs just to afford a single perk upgrade isn't fun, it's just tedious. Especially since you get most JP at the end of the game. Every run to get to the last "catalogue" will take you somewhere about 15-30m if not longer (depending on your tech tree) Overall, Scritchy Scratchy has a solid foundation with tons of potential, but it needs more content and some major balance tweaks to the endgame grind before I can give it a better score. Worth picking up, but expect to hit a wall once the credits roll. ~ Jontraitor
