Scraper: Gauntlet

Glorious, complex, satisfying combat from start to finish. And very cool weapons, all 12 (!) of them. Which is high praise coming from a Destiny fan.

5 minutes in I was -dual wielding missiles launchers -force throwing a bot into a wall then force-throwing that bots weapon at another bot -reflecting sniper shots back with my shields for 360 no scope headshot criticals 5 hours in I'm doing so much more, but the fundamentals are just as fun

It has a well polished look and is similar to raw data but without MP it seems. Here's an RPG shooter that still requires a lot of skill. A lot of games in the genre boil down to you vs the enemy stats as the level goes up. In Scraper, with smart use of crowd control and shields, you can turn a bad situation with tanky enemies into a cakewalk. I wish they would do a little more with the different pathways through levels, but moment to moment, the weapons are very fun and you are constantly challenged to rethink your tactics. The no 'ring out' rule at post-game level 7 made me LOL. All in all I think it's the first good VR action game this year.

Good graphics and love the ability to customize your weapon. AI is pretty decent as well.

- Graphics are really solid as is gameplay and AI. - Story is pretty decent for a shooter. Has some meat to it. - Progression is a blast so far. Tons of depth to it, options and variety. - Got a shield mod that reflects enemy fire back at opponents. Pair that with the force power thing and you have some cool gameplay opportunities. - Not sure what post-campaign play is. Hope they have more levels, enemies and variety. - Some of the dagger throws feel a little off, but it is really fun. - Game could be harder. I am guessing it gets harder later.

Seriously surprised this game is so obscure- fantastic game! The graphics are great without being too demanding and the shooting feels good. Essentially Space Pirate Trainer with more content, albeit slightly less polished. Good Game!

I feel like a space gladiator fighting for his own honor while the matrix slowly desensitizes my mind with future-core training exercises and next-level mod upgrades around each and every corner. 10/10, will be back for more every few weeks, at least...
