My gambling addict friend said if I post a review Scrap and Battery and it gets 350 likes and 150 Awards that he will buy me a case of beer and some vodka ...So I'm just gonna leave this here..

I really liked it and recommend the game. The game has its own idea where at least I haven't seen anything like it yet. When your character takes damage, your battery drops and you have a reserve battery time to pick it up. The game has some things to improve, but because it's a new game I know they will fix it. Easy to understand and fun mechanics. ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful ☑ Good ☐ Decent ☐ Bad ☐ Don‘t look too long at it ---{ Gameplay }--- ☐ Very good ☑ Good ☐ It's just gameplay ☐ Mehh ☐ Watch paint dry instead ☐ Just don't ---{ Audio }--- ☐ Eargasm ☐ Very good ☑ Good ☐ Not too bad ☐ Bad ☐ I'm now deaf ---{ Audience }--- ☑ Kids ☑ Teens ☑ Adults ☑ Grandma ---{ PC Requirements }--- ☐ Check if you can run paint ☑ Potato ☐ Decent ☐ Fast ☐ Rich boi ☐ Ask NASA if they have a spare computer ---{ Game Size }--- ☐ Floppy Disk ☑ Old Fashioned ☐ Workable ☐ Big ☐ Will eat 10% of your 1TB hard drive ☐ You will want an entire hard drive to hold it ☐ You will need to invest in a black hole to hold all the data ---{ Difficulty }--- ☐ Just press 'W' ☑ Easy ☐ Easy to learn / Hard to master ☐ Significant brain usage ☐ Difficult ☐ Dark Souls ---{ Grind }--- ☐ Nothing to grind ☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks ☑ Isn't necessary to progress ☐ Average grind level ☐ Too much grind ☐ You'll need a second life for grinding ---{ Story }--- ☑ No Story ☐ Some lore ☐ Average ☐ Good ☐ Lovely ☐ It'll replace your life ---{ Game Time }--- ☐ enough for a cup of coffee ☑ Short ☐ Average ☐ Long ☐ To infinity and beyond ---{ Price }--- ☑ It's free! ☐ Worth the price ☐ If it's on sale ☐ If u have some spare money left ☐ Not recommended ☐ You could also just burn your money ---{ Bugs }--- ☐ Never heard of ☑ Minor bugs ☐ Can get annoying ☐ ARK: Survival Evolved ☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs

"Scrap and Battery" is another student project from the DigiPen Institute of Technology (certainly a very productive university, if nothing else, they've dumped 129 student projects onto Steam to date, with more on the way). This time the students probably got a passing grade. This is a quirky action robot game with a gimmick about recharging your battery after you take damage. It's short, though, the purpose of student projects is not to generate a lot of content for gamers... and that's really where the problem lies. This is a game made for the sake of the developer, not the gamers, and as always, when devs put themselves before gamers, it goes badly for all. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
Мне игра очень понравилась. Жаль, что короткая и нет сюжетной линии какой-то. Но выбирать оружие, и уничтожать роботов мне понравилось. I really liked the game. It is a pity that it is short and there is no storyline of some kind. But I liked choosing weapons and destroying robots. https://youtu.be/I4FY8rukfI0 https://youtube.com/shorts/W_warzz2AKc?feature=share
Nice game and skill mechanic. Melee attacks to slow in my opinion, cannot compete with blaster.
I ran my first run rather rapidly after picking up the shotgun, seeing that it's virtually the only weapon I needed, and buying all my other tools to revolve around it. In fact, just about everything from the unique life mechanic to the difficulty of enemies was extremely tame. In hindsight of the team's abundance of UI designers, it's evident they had a directed goal towards encouraging several runs in the custom mode, but the misguided rubric of a murky, immediate "Start Game" button laden with tutorial pop-ups got in the way of what could have been a more prideful display of care and attention towards systems design and accessibility of difficulty. The game has effective but timid Nerve motivations that, final grade notwithstanding, could have been an experience that truly engaged me to play again, and it might have been as simple as a scripted loss, perhaps with an Asylum Demon that you can simply avoid. I seem to find that a strong tenet of Heart game motivation is the urge to replay a game, and in a broader sense, that includes after failing. In explicit terms, the story and characters become a cult film that you bear playing worst hits to watch again; in implicit terms, as they are here, it is a variety and progression of identity and consequence, seeing what kind of character you can become, both inside the game and out. For now, I'm a character who only presses "Start Game" once. The two axes of level difficulty for Enter the Gungeon are size and density. The more direct and obvious angle for bullet hell styles is density, which bosses tend to use in high fashion. The more "unfair" yet exciting dimension is space, where moving further into a room off screen might mean that you're walking towards one of the worst enemies in the game, dodging their attacks from the rear as you attempt to gun down the buildup of smaller fries. Scrap and Battery gets an A for Always Scrap Before Battering.
