Walked into the light, died. Respawned, flashlight gone. Wandered aimlessly in the dark for 20 minutes. Free game, newer dev, definitely trying things and learning as they build it. I support. Better than what I could do. Pretty good gory environmental storytelling for people who like to look into the back corners of games. Lighting is superb.
I cannot even get through the prelude because i cannot for the life of me figure out how to get into that damn broken down tram. the flashlight is hot garbage, the cone changes when i walk through doorways somehow, it hardly lights up what it's pointed out, not to mention it's dimmer than a dead lightbulb. maybe the reason i can't get past the tram is because the flashlight just doesn't light anything up so i literally can't see what i'm supposed to do. I wish my criticism could be more constructive but if i can't even get to the first chapter how the hell am i supposed to know what i could even do? edit: so i've learned how to get past it, i find it silly. You just walk into a hole in the wall and ignore the handle inside the tram which is glowing telling you "you can interact with me." I don't really have any comments about that but needless to say it is very confusing as to why it would glow in the first place. also the flashlight is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i cannot see anything when walking into a door to open it.

I am very disappointed. I love the daybreak SCP, and even cried when I first read the entry on the SCP Wiki. This game (at least in its current state) is completely slop. Its sluggish, poorly optimized, and feels like an asset flip. I will give some grace as it is just an early access game, but in its current development stage, this game is just not good.
Waste of time, I don't get the positive feedback It do creates an horrific atmosphere, but there's literrally nothing you can do. All I did was wandering around dark hallways searching for notes, equipment and the exit, only to end up infront of a barricade with the note "Chapter 1 will continue soon". There weren't any enemies/instances to encounter except the static sunlight. When you grab or interact with somehting, you receive no notifaction on what you grabbed or how to activate it. The flashlight is nearly useless btw. I dont get how some people can have several hours in this game since there's literally nothing to see or explore except for like 5 notes and a poem on a wall that only covers 1% of the Daybreak story. If the game was released a week ago, it would have potential to become gerat. But it's nearly 4 years old with the developer posting notes regularly, saying it's still in the pre-alpha version, so don't waste half to one hour of your life like I did and play sth else.
good game, sun bad, sun kill, game good, dev is very hard working we stand the dev!
The game is very interesting of an idea but you just can't see anything whatsoever. I understand its early access, but I can't go 5 seconds without something bugging out, and there is little to no direction, leading to you just kinda wandering aimlessly forever.
Even the character movement is bad. How hard is it to copy over code to atleast have a functioning movement system???
Completely unplayable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Mad that this was even free. I should be payed for playing this.
This game is an interesting experience yet it hasn't released yet. It has to do with scp-001 DAYBREAK and it is a project still under heavy development! Do not judge it for it's low amount of content because it needs time to update and stuff. It has 2 chapters (chapter 0 which is smth like introducing and chapter 1 which is as soon as the sun starts to kill)
I'm a big SCP fan, this game Looked promising, but the gameplay was just... Bad.. Granted I'm pretty sure its just 1 person working on the game, so I give him some level of props for even making This much of a game, but the flash light needs to be brighter, there needs to be a hint or clue that you DONT use the train/tram because I spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get inside of it. It shows promise, perhaps you should pull some people onto your team, even if its as small as a like, 3 man team, just to boost the progress and give a game that people can actually play instead of a "prologue"
