Scarytales: All Hail King Mongo

Poorly drawn with lousy mechanics. Denied.

Had this game on a collection disc a while back. After losing said disc, I found it on Steam a few years later. It's not an great game (the puzzles and voice acting leave a lot to be desired) but it was interesting to revisit.

This is a very short experience, but for what it has it's a nice little treat for fans of old-school hidden-object games. There are many challenging hidden-object scenes that rely on carefully hiding object in plain sight. Even the puzzle mini-games are pretty good. That said, there's not much else. The story is uninteresting, the characters and voice acting mediocre, and the graphics are just OK, with no real animations. On that note, there is some frustration due to requiring you to have a pixel-perfect click, as well as pixel-perfect alignment for some of the puzzles. I'm giving this game a thumbs up, but I think it would interest only the truly hard-core HOG-lovers who are OK with short experiences.

This game should have been better however, it was boring. I'm giving a thumbs up due to the scenery was good and the story line was okay.

This was silly, but don't pay money for it. That's about it.

This hidden object game is very cool, and not easy. Good fun.
