ITS FREE! but.... Yes and No. Pros: Masters Degree (Dedication to Education Award) Free to play (Money in the Bank Award) Very nice art style (Cerberus Award for CHell SHades) Beat up people with a stick and magic (Potter Award for PG Violence) Cons: Fatal error crashing (although it could be to do with next item) No controller support (I modified through Steam to enable 90% controller usage) Keyboard layout (K, V and Space - maybe not the best options for layout) No rebinding (see above) Hits feel weak and missing impact. Overall: I cant really give it a yes or no either despite what i wrote. I can't play more than a few minutes before it crashes sadly. However, what i have seen of it looks very nice and enjoyable to play. Also, its free! So why are you still reading a review when you could be downloading the game and seeing for yourself? FREE! To the developer: i say well done on your accomplishment, now keep working on it some more and please add controller support soon.

EDIT: One of the developers actually answered the feedback which is always a good sign. I changed this review because some bugs has been fixed and points were explained by the devs in the discussions. The devs are happy about any bug reports and open for feedback. So I will change it to positiv. Please test the game and provide the team with feedback and bug reports First of all BIG WALL OF TEXT WARNING I cant give a neutral review even though I wish that would exist. So I will post that here first I dont know how to feel about it. I know its a a master degree project and absolutely has room for improvements. This text will mainly contain bugs or non functional things I have encountered. I like the art style and setting but at some points its almost frustrating. The devs explained the pointwith the hit indicator and yes now I can see that there is a short visual indicator. The parry doesnt work or atleast nothing happens. The pause menu tells me its the V-key but nothing happens. I tried multiple times standing in front of the big guys spamming or holding it to see if something happens but that wasnt the case. The devs know about it and are working on a fix They fixed the moving camera bug in the mask selection menu which resulted in closing such menu because you werent looking at the masks anymore. The light attacks look to fast while the heavy attacks are so slow that dodoging is nearly impossible. If you immediatly dodge after you used the heavy attack the blue dodging partical is played but the character wont move. ---That point was explained by the devs in the discussions and I guess they fixed the point with dodge. Atleast I dont have the problem with not moving while dodging anymore Sometimes the character wont dodge at all. Is there any cooldown to the dodge? because sometimes it felt like there is one and one minute later it felt like there is none which resulted in me dodging continously over the map. ---another point explained by one of the devs in the discussions Hitting an enemy feels random. It feels like you have to be 100% with your cursor (which doesnt exist by the way) on the enemy to actually hit them. Aiming one pixel aside of them results in not hitting them ---another point explained by one of the devs in the discussions. There is also an autoaim with TAB
"Satori" is a student project from somewhere... a third person hack and slash game with okayish cel-shaded looking artwork and some kinda clunky fighting. The controls are locked and I suppose one of the first things you might want to teach students when developing games for PC is that it's vital to allow control customisation for a number of reasons, from accessibility to allowing gamers to customise their experiences. When developers treat PC gamers like console peasants or force them to play games in a specific way, it's insulting. There's a few very serious bugs here as well, it's clear this needed a lot more polish before shipping. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.

Тяжело сражаться, возможно я что-то не понял. Но само по себе сражение классное, не понял как обороняться. It's hard to fight, maybe I didn't understand something. But the battle itself is cool, I didn't understand how to defend myself. https://youtu.be/pXyyDRXDYK4
