Sailing around the world racing or cruising, with real weather. Many improvements respect previous version. The dev support is excelent. UI requires some practice, but once you get used to it, no problem.

This game is utter rubbish

This "game" is unplayable. I was unable to get through the most basic of tutorials, because of bugs. Get and raise the mainsail - ok the mainsail disappeared, and it is not coming back. "Look at the telltales" - there are no telltales. "Trim the mainsail" - mainsail doesn't move. The controls are unusable. This is incredibly bad. It isn't even a beta. How is this even a release?

This game is essentially unusable. While Sailaway 2 was superb, this "sequel" is unplayable to say the least. Keybindings are random, can hardly be set and reset to default. Nothing is remotely intuitive. No API, nothing useful. I was actually looking forward to it to practice celestial navigation, but I give up. Sorry for all the effort that went into it. Can someone revive Sailaway 2....

Excellent simulateur, oui il y a encore des choses à améliorer comme l'interface ou bien les bateaux qui régissent parfois bizarrement, mais perso je prend énormément de plaisir dans ce jeu.

would like it to be made compatible with external controls. also, hard to use the control to change view.

It's a really great simulator, friendly community and also a massive world to explore.

Being real: if you are not familiar with this series, the game and UI are not super intuitive. It's pretty funky and unique; it's definitely not a "plug and play" type of game. But if you are familiar, you already know SA3 is a massive upgrade. I've got 90hrs+ on SA1, and some similar hours on SA2. SA3 has already surprised me and is gorgeous beyond words. There's much more to customize. Wind, waves, environment, water, land, maps, new controls, settings, you name it basically -- it is now adjustable. The graphics (and options in general) have been given a gigantic overhaul. There are currently a few minor bugs here and there (nothing game-breaking) but I anticipate as usual they'll be fixed with time. Those of us in the community know Sailaway is like the dev's baby and he keeps on trucking. It's kindof his lifeblood and he's devoted to it. The addition of more community options also makes it much more alive and active. If you're looking for a more intensive sailing sim (again this is not a "game" as much as a simulator) you should start here. Even if it's just an ambient thing you have on in the background it's excellent for those who love water, boating, or the ocean.
