Build cities, command troops, and manage resources like in a traditional RTS, and also go on quests, chat with your friends, join guilds, and trade like an MMO. SAGA is an MMORTS with battling similar to the Total War series, mixed with city building from Stronghold.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

2020 gang where you at
"SAGA" is an old dead cash shop infested "I can't believe it's not a mobile app" RTS game from 2008 (16 years old!!!!) The objective of this old relic is to give your credit card details to the developer so you can win without stupid amounts of grinding. Once more, this kind of mobile-app-like predatory P2W pricing is toxic and unethical developers and their unethical products like this have no place in your library. This has some fairly mediocre/dated looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. On pricing and value for gamers, as mentioned this isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Even after that, this is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out a $5 USD "donation" DLC for this as you're expected to buy extra DLC from Steam to "support" the developer... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Would not mind recommending the game if it was not overly bugged with issues, cant play it due to being kicked off the server constantly the creatures tend to vanish after deploying them yet still exist within the game just cant see them on the screen which was interesting to see. And to see a game that is 12+ years of age still having bugs and issues as of today is very saddening.
I would like to say I really have enjoyed this game for many years. If you like solving puzzles and thinking on what you have to do you will <3 this game. If you want to hack away and not master a level please look somewhere else as these quests are intended to be a challenge. Currently SAGA is free to play and yes it really is free as you earn the money currency in game to buy booster packs you get at least 5 credits for each level you beat on bronze and than 5 again after you beat gold and silver of the same quest. That being said I am one that likes to keep games around and feel at a penny per credit why not support a game so it does stay around. The one downside is having to do a quest over and over to gain the resources you need to build. Give it a try you don't have nothing too lose except time enjoying yourself :)
honestly suprised this is stll going, its still a good strategy game that makes you think with the tools you have. graphically its dated, and it works better with out a vpn.
awesome game. nice storyline.
Honestly give it a shot. The premium currency you get buy doing missions, every faction starts with really cheap human units that allow you to have a meatshield while you upgrade your actual faction troops. leveling is really important and so is the amount of cards you have. play missions, buy your champion for 500 credits, then save up for boosters of the factions you want to play. sell the ridiculous costing units first if you want to get more cheap faction units (i.e selling my fire catapults to have enough gold for 20 orc warriors and plenty left over) Its currently in a dead state from my opinion as a new player but the servers still run and i havent experienced any crashes so, if anyone wants to help me revive a classic game, make an account and jump on in, because i know ill be playing this game till the servers shut down.
