This game is extremely fun! The combat system is really smooth and feels great! The only thing holding it back atm is the player base which is up to us to fix! I highly recommend this game! The devs are also super chill ! coming here to add this since i saw the negative review. There are 2 characters you can play with the rest you do have to pay. HOWEVER they are just skins theres no advantage to using them!
A group of 4 of us tried queue sniping each other (the game is only duos right now) but it just puts you in a game with all bots after 30 seconds no matter what. It sucks because the game itself is actually super fun, it just needs more players and matchmaking that prioritizes putting actual people together in the same lobby before adding in the bots. Still, recommending in the hope that more people will play it eventually.

This game has SERIOUS potential! PROS: -Fun and interesting "combos" and abilities that you can create a unique play-style around whilst also being able to make changes to it and adapt as the match progresses -Smooth game-play! minimalist art style in order to maintain perfect fluidity during the massive and chaotic battles that can take place between the 40 players in each match but without feeling/looking too "blocky" or rough around the edges if you get what i mean. -Great Devs! chill people to talk to/ game with and people that seem genuinely interested in the progression of their game! expect to see some promotions for this game very soon! CONS: NEED MORE PLAYERS!! give this game a try guys! it's free to play and allot of fun!! but as of right now it seems to have it's "peak" population at certain times a day, and during other times it's dead? i am baffled to say the least!
I jumped into Valgrave: Immortal Plains expecting a standard battle royale, but was pleasantly surprised by a magical twist. It’s free-to-play, and you get to mix and match five spells from a staggering selection, fire blasts, healing auras, meteor showers, over 100,000 combinations, really. Whether you prefer casting chaos or slugging foes with spells, there's a style here that clicks with your inner sorcerer. The game runs smooth and the low-poly visuals are charming in a nostalgic kind of way. The combat is fast and frantic, especially when the safe zone shrinks and five players suddenly converge with flares and spells, and maybe a dragon or two ambles through. It’s got that “oops, did I just burn the whole battleground?” feel built right into its mana core, which is great for when you want your chaos with a side of strategy. But let’s be honest, this wizard-themed battle royale isn’t perfect. The player base is thinner than a ghost mage’s cloak during off-peak hours, so matchmaking can drag. And though the blend of magic is deep, repeated matches quickly start to feel like watching the same spell book on loop. A little variety in maps or modes would go a long way, maybe a haunted forest or celestial arena next time? Overall, Valgrave: Immortal Plains is a quirky, enjoyable break from the usual shooters, like Dumbledore decided to host a royal rumble. It’s breezy, it’s magical, and if you show up with friends, the combo chaos can be seriously addictive. Just be prepared to keep an eye out for those quieter hours when the arenas feel more… ghost town than fantasy field.
So, I am writing a very early review of this, because I felt like it deserved one. This game is fun. Yes, it is, plain and simple. Slinging spells around, doing aerial combos and dashing around is extremely satisfying. Despite the very minimalistic look it actually feels really good to play, despite sometimes glitching. That said, the game needs massive amount of work to even consider putting any money into it. Finding matches takes relatively fast, but they are often very small. I had played 4 or so games, and only one had 10 other players in 1 of those games. You find games fast but they are often short and feel underwhelming. I would opt for a longer queue time but more players. The gameplay itself as I mentioned is really fun and fluid. Tho a lot of QOL improvements need to be made, like being able to read ability descriptions and perhaps an inventory system for spells would feel much better. The player base seems alive but needs to rise. It seems like there is no official twitter, facebook or any social platform other than a website with only a download link. The more eyes on the game, the better. Personally, devs, this game is really good and I believe if you keep working on it and adding more improvements this might even go viral. Dont sell out, dont stop grinding. I hope to see this game flourish because it really does tick all the boxes of what can potentially be a good game.
the trailer and pictures really don't give this game justice , graphically it might not look like the best game ever but man is the gameplay and mechanics are the most fun thing I've experienced in a loooong while , downloaded the game at 1 am , played non stop for almost 9 hours 10/10 wouldn't sleep again

10/10 I rarely drop reviews on games, but honestly this is a pretty good one. Needs a few touches to make the skills and the effects more immersive and intuitive, but the game has great potential. I can totally see battle royales with AOE skills all happening around. Lots of fun :)
The game is actually fun with an active player base but it seems I was to good at the game to be having anymore fun apart from the initial game dropping around 10 kills per game in the duo gamemode by myself. This leads me to believe that their are computer bots/AI since the player base had the IQ of a goldfish. The concept is unique but I feel more people need to be introduced to the game so the computer AIs are not neccessary.
Game has a lot of potential, but without people, a battle royale is not as fun or challenging. Extremely tedious to get XP and money (20 coins for 1st place) and very buggy, but other than that it's a cool idea that I'd like to see this polished and done.
