it is scary because of the darkness and the two red eye creature. had to pause and take some slow breaths in order to calm myself. another example of individual developer creating cool looking environments in unreal engine.

Despite the game's being very simplistic and short, I liked the overall experience. Also, there are some bonus points for solo development and giving the game away for free. The game was scary enough without any jumpscares and that's a good thing. On the other hand, I believe that most of the times i'd felt scared because it wasn't unclear for me what to do in terms of game mechanics. When you don't know what to expect from the game, it might be scary for sure. Well, anyway, if it scares then it scares. It probably might be a viable strategy: to ♥♥♥♥ with player's controls and overall mechanics' perception/expectation. Also, it was kinda hard to understand what to do at start. It looks like the first part of the game was a lot more cryptic. It was hard to figure out what to do (if compared to the latter part of the game). A lot of confusement was from the props in the starting room. Those seemed to be grabbable (like I could've grabbed them,) and were drawing my attention. It was all in vain. I wasn't able to grab nor knife, nor grenade, nor assault rifle. It was hard to tell, what I can pick up and what I can't. A pretty solid work for a solo dev. Also, I don't know how hard developing for VR is. Probably a bit harder than for non-VR. I also think, that the VR library don't have enough great horror yet, so any addition is a worthy one. Thanks.
nice
Knocked this one out in about an hour. For a free game, that's honestly a solid deal — it's a short experience, but an intense one. A great pick if you want to put your new VR headset through its paces, as long as you're not too easily spooked. Genuinely can't think of a reason not to recommend it. It's free, it's unsettling in the best way, and it delivers exactly the kind of creepy thrill we all secretly love.
This was a fun, short, simple horror game to play before bed. Thanks for giving it out for free. For anyone wondering, it worked fine on an HP Reverb G2 as well.
