Sacra Terra: Kiss of Death Collector’s Edition

The storyline isn't bad, it owes a lot to Quantum Leap with you putting things right although it's supernatural here. The gameplay is your typical HOG experience with you completing a series of 'fetch' puzzles, mini-games and hidden object scenes. The biggest issue with the game is the custom mouse pointer isn't always accurate and even though you're clicking on the correct item, the game doesn't register that you are: This is easily remedied by clicking different parts of your cursor over the object but it's a blunder that shouldn't have slipped through to release in this type of game. Mercifully there is no penalty for constant-clickery. The mini-games are a mixture of logical and trial & error. With the massive number of HOG's on Steam there isn't any point in trying ones like Kiss of Death that are 'mostly' playable. 5/10

Would have loved to be able to finish this game, but it crashes halfway through game play. After a bit of research, I see that the developer wants you to send a bunch of files to them. I don't have time for all that. If it worked, it would have been a great game.

Played through a majority of the game without issue, but encountered a game freezing glitch roughly 3/4 of the way through that I could not navigate away from without starting over from the beginning. Either way, this game was not as good as the original angelic night. The hidden object portions were mundane, and the puzzles themselves were solved within 1-2 scenes. The video cut scenes were horrendous. Overall the game was not as challenging and therefore wasn't as engaging for me. Disappointed I couldn't finish it, but simultaneously not that butthurt because it wasn't that interesting.

ok, 6.5/10 nice art. has a strategy guide if you get stuck. some of the hidden object scenes, the items don't quite line up when you click them.
