this game is such a disappointment. this game couldve been great but it was executed terribly. just like the show
TLDR: Bluntly, this game is not worth your time. The Story: Like the original RWBY anime, there's crumbs of what could've been a great story - but being a third party media, it doesn't have any affect on the main series narrative when it logically should. The story takes you to Mountain Glenn to clean up the mess from Post-Season 2's finale, which leads into a path into Forever Fall and later you're on a boat to an island in the middle of nowhere. Ignoring for a moment that we have no comprehensive understanding of the geography of the world, and it breaks immersion completely for me. When you reach the Island; Ozpin and the villain Doctor Merlot have a bit of a talk, and Ozpin then drops the bombshell of Doctor Merlot being responsible for Mountain Glenn's collapse. That has MASSIVE lore ramifications for the entire series! One mad man baited the Grimm into destroying an entire city just to see what would happen. And... is there a peep of this in the main series? Nadda. Nope. Zilch. And then we blow up his facility... with no actual resolution to the main villain. As far as we know, he's still out there. He's still free to continue with his Grimm experiments. There's no satisfying resolution to the flimsy spider thread of a story. There's no resolution, period. (Then again, that can encapsulate the series as a whole.) Gameplay Playing this game is an exercise in frustration. Grimm can cancel you mid-attack, which particularly frustrating if you've gone in for a charge attack but were hit before the blow registered. And this game falls into the trap of 'More enemies=greater difficulty'. There are games where enemies are fun to kill. The Grimm are not fun to kill. They're a test of patience and by the time you reach the larger opponents, its an effort of will not to punch a hole through your monitor in a rage. They're not fun foes to kill, they're not satisfying to kill. Its more satisfying to hit alt+f4 and quit the game. The Mechs you fight in the second half of the game aren't much better. While they are cool in concept, and I wish the main series would pick up on the designs and run with them, they're an excrutiating for to fight and they make their Grimm counterparts tolerable. The Mech Unit's hitboxes and attack range exceed every characters' dodge distance but half, meaning if you dodge, unless you hit it perfectly, you're going to get beaten into a corner and you may as well restart the checkpoint because you will die in that corner. That's without getting into just their basic speed. They can outrun your characters in full sprint mode, which means the only way to gain distance is to stand still long enough to let them begin their attack sequence, time your dodge to get behind them and run the other way. But good luck with that because every melee Mech is accompanied by a grenadier mech, and you've likely dove head long into a spray-n-pray sweep of bullets or a grenade. On base difficulty, I was pushed to the limits of my patience by how frustrating this game was. Out of curiosity, I tried to play at the highest difficulty and found the game virtually unplayable. There are better hack'n'slash games out there that deserve your money more.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pretty repetetive if anything. You don't really feel cool doing any of the stuff, and most characters feel very samey. This game didn't go out with Yang.
bad game but i love rwby and i can put jaune in a dress so it is peak actually
Justice will be swift!
I didn't give this game enough credit when I bought it. It's really entertaining. The only thing is it's not intuitive at all and you have to learn all the controls and fight options like RB to counter but it only works if you're at a distance. A Tutorial would have been good. You also can't pause the game as it's still playing in the background.
The only good rwby game.
For the era of it's original release, the game is perfect. My only real complaint is that RT hasn't bothered to publish updates or introduce new content for a while. Perhaps if they did the playerbase would be more active.
看到鸡牙没了的消息扫墓怀念一下。 粉丝向游戏,哪有什么好玩不好玩,只不过记录着自己的一段故事,而这段故事将画上了句号变为了回忆。
not fun
