If your a diehard fan then hey this is for you. Though be warned sometimes its easy to break the bounds of the game and get trapped under stairs. Its not a hard game and a quick play, takes a little bit of grinding. Wish there was some interactions between characters you and friends pick. combat is a bit stiff, its easy to kind of look past though if your really into it
I really enjoyed the game when it first came out. The outfit DLCs was nice, but I am very disappointed we never got any story expansions or new zones after launch. It's your average hack and slash video and fun to play with friends, but there are other games that are much longer lived that are more enjoyable multiple times through.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I bought this game because a friend recommended it and while I will say that the game play starts off fairly fun with the different interesting move set each character has, it quickly gets pretty boring. The game is fairly empty and bare bones both in terms of environment and content. You're mostly just moving from area to area and fighting whatever grim is in that zone before moving on and repeating the same thing. I played it a few times and tried to give it a real chance but overall found it very underwhelming and repeatative. I'm sure there are fans of the show that love this and see it as a cool opportunity to play as their favorite characters but personally I would skip this one.
This game has pretty much no story and doesn't explain anything. The gameplay is also pretty awful and very repetitive. I did end up beating the game, but only because it was 2 hours long. Highly not recommended to anyone.
After revisiting this game I can confidently say this is a repetitive pile of steaming trash. If the gameplay loop wasn't so mind numbingly boring or the moveset was more diverse or maybe enemy hp wasn't through the roof people might actually have fun & not rely on the Brand name to carry them through the game hoping for some enjoyment. You can't even parry on command, its strictly when prompted even if its the same move without a call to action. Combine it with enemies being able to 1 frame countering you for trying to sneak in a single extra hit you are punished for trying to play skillfully and it becomes on of those rhythm game where you just hit button in order + some movement. If you aren't jump rolling everywhere your not playing the game right.
amazing game, lack of content :( still love rwby tho
I didn't give this game enough credit when I bought it. It's really entertaining. The only thing is it's not intuitive at all and you have to learn all the controls and fight options like RB to counter but it only works if you're at a distance. A Tutorial would have been good. You also can't pause the game as it's still playing in the background.
bad game but i love rwby and i can put jaune in a dress so it is peak actually
I would recommend it for people with friends. I don't have any that would play this unfortunately..
Only buy if you're fan of RWBY and have a friend to play with. It's not really a finished game. There's no tutorial and the game is just missions that you go through beating hoards of grim. That's all it's to it. - If you play solo even on normal there's just too much enemies and when I got to first "boss" I had to potshot him to death for 2 minutes since he nearly oneshoted me with every attack. And that's the easiest mode. - The characters even though have their own animations, feel the same. Each character you play you just do combos with left click and right click as finisher. - Each character have level which upgrades when you play, but the upgrades are just to already existing skills, they do not unlock any new combos, it's just additional effects. There's only 6 upgrades on active moves per character and 9? passives ones. - The soundtrack is remixed from the show, but it feels off and bad. - The story playing solo is slow runner, few lines per mission which doesn't explain much. - The enemies are quite boring, they have 1/2 attacks and prompt you to counter them very often. - Even though you can just open multiplayer lobby and play with open slot, but the connection can lag out and kick you from mission reseting all the progress. (I didn't find anybody for hour, so I don't think there's anybody playing at same time) - Game sometimes lags out for half a second and spin a camera. - If you die you respawn on the fight you died, so you can beat the game solo, but it's tediouse and often there's a "wave" fight which takes quite some time. Not really polished game and it doesn't even feel finished. There's no story entry, no browser of lobbies, just quick play and create lobby + solo. There're aditional modes to just fight grim without story, but playing solo feels awfull enough so there's no point in even trying them.
