BRING BACK DECKBUILDER
Note I say this in earnest as being a RWBY fan and playing multiple of the games they've put out over the years. RWBY games are hit or miss for Rooster Teeth where they put out a game like a beta test mode to which if it doesn't succeed in the little time they get the game is pulled and forgotten about. Now if that was it I wouldn't have a problem. However, with multiple of these games (I can't speak for this game with my little playtime while it was up) they post microtransactions on them, and for what if only months if lucky a year or two the game gets pulled and all microtransactions are lost. I don't have a problem with microtransactions and I don't know how many this game had so i'll speak for the other games that got taken down, why pay to support a game that'll get taken down in two years or less. I'm not joking this is all public just by googling RWBY games to which the only games that is still up and running is Grimm Eclipse and Combat Ready (A board game). The reason for this review is being a RWBY fan I find it hard when games like this and others with promise come out only to die and be seen as a sellout with microtransactions. I don't blame this or any of the developers as I feel inclined to believe this all falls on Rooster Teeth because all their online games have microtransactions. Being someone who watched Rooster Teeth in early 2011 for their achievement guides for portal 2 and seeing RWBY come out in 2013 as a passion project nothing hurts more than seeing the current state of Rooster Teeth and RWBY games. I only hope that Rooster Teeth gets their act together and that their newest game (Arrowfell) can bring a light to RWBY's grimm gaming history. To conclude I'm sorry to post this review on this game in particular as honestly none of this review is on the game itself and just on the RWBY gaming scene as a whole but I wanted to say this somewhere and didn't know where. I just want Rooster Teeth to stick to their games instead of abandoning them at the slightest problems so fans of this game and others can still enjoy them instead of the sad reviews of "I remember this being good" and "This had promise", but no hate here I know the developers tried their hardest on this game and I hope they find success elsewhere while rooster teeth gets a wake up call.

I'm still angry they took this off because this game was legitimately super fun to play and was chaotic but since RT didn't really say "Hey we have a deckbuilding game!" or anything they took it off steam bc no one was playing it, I wonder WHY - it was super fun, one of the better games RT made and now its just gone - I should've made this review in like 2019 when I think it shut down, didn't, but now I'm salty again so I'm making this. RT abandoned a good game and now its gone, cause they tend to ruin things.
game can't update anymore making it unplayable. Don't bother :(
Actually pretty fun when it was still alive
As most games that are made by Rooster Teeth or Rooster Teeth has affiliation with, the games just dies. Played for a little, looked up videos of how to play it, and asked others who play this but still have no f***ing clue what I'm doing. Even did the tutorial and felt like it gave me little to no advice at all of how to play. The game mechanics on the other hand seems like its the same as every deckbuilding game.
You know, I liked this game. I had it on android, and then decided to play it on steam with my siblings. We all love RWBY, even with the issues the show has. It was fun for what it was, and I can honestly say that I am sad to have seen it go. I have hopes that one day, it either comes back, or gets a remake. I did pay to get the bonus content (bosses ahoy), and they were entertaining. Overall? 6/10. But I played MG SurVive to completion and Fallout 76 on release. There are far worse games out there. It could have done better too.
If you like the crytozoic deck builders then this is the game for you as it follows the same format but with rwby chaaracters. highly enjoyable if you find a group of friends to play with as well
Мать жива а игра нет
RWBY fan but had this game bugged so many time I've had to delete and reinstall it 4 times, blank quests, no rewards, unable to delete save games hence can't play a new one.
