A janky budget roguelike that is a lot more fun that it has any right to be. In Rustil: Eternal Labyrinth, you play as the titular Rustil, climbing a tower to try and uncover secrets, getting stronger and stronger through each run and gaining more friends along the way. The game is fun. The control is fluid. The movement is snappy. The progress as you go through run, whether it be from unlocking skills through a skill tree, strengthening weapons that you can keep with you as you go through the castle and unlocking new heroic spirits that grant you new strengthening skills that allow you to specialize your builds as you go through the castle and a surprisingly robust monster capture and strengthening mechanic make the game a joy to play. Enemies are also plentiful, diverse and fun to bash your head against, ranging from the classic skeletons to trolls to mechanical monsters and more. Bosses are also engaging and unique, with their own crazy movesets that must be respected and learnt. It's great! Highly recommended.
A nice quick-paced dungeon crawler. The mix and match abilities allows us to make various builds depending on our playstyle.
Rustil: Eternal Labyrinth Castle was my first completed roguelite, which means it successfully convinced me to replay a castle that keeps rearranging itself instead of simply hiring an architect. You play as Rustil, an amnesiac adventurer drawn into a mysterious labyrinthine castle. As you progress, you free heroes who have been confined inside stones and receive their blessings, gradually transforming yourself from “pink-haired person with a sword” into “pink-haired person responsible for several ongoing magical emergencies.” The combat is fast, flashy, and satisfying. There are not a huge number of weapon types, but the available swords, magic staves, gunblades, and other options provide enough variety to experiment with different builds. Most of your real power comes from stacking blessings and buffs until every button produces enough light to briefly replace the sun. Visually, the game is surprisingly attractive. It has the polished anime-inspired 3D look of an MMO--except there are no thirty-seven players standing around town wearing glowing wings and refusing to start the dungeon. You can also capture monsters and have them fight beside you. This is very useful because every dangerous creature deserves a second chance, provided that second chance involves immediately attacking its former coworkers. The castle has both safer and more punishing modes, so you can choose between calmly keeping your loot or gambling everything because apparently the previous fifty floors taught you nothing. There is a story, permanent progression, treasure hunting, character blessings, monster collecting, and plenty of colourful combat effects. Then, at some point, the fantasy castle starts deploying giant robots. Yes, you fight Gundams. No, the game does not appear concerned that this may represent a slight departure from the established medieval aesthetic. I had a lot of fun with Rustil, and it was approachable enough to become the first roguelite I actually finished. It may not have the deepest weapon selection, but the enjoyable combat, attractive presentation, monster companions, and increasingly absurd power combinations kept me engaged through the end. Recommended for anyone who has ever wanted to explore an anime fantasy castle, collect monsters, receive divine blessings, and then unexpectedly fight a mobile suit.
有好看的美少女,打起来感觉也不错,很适合用来打发时间
立绘与画风好看,游戏性尚可,看得出来融合了很多元素。
The game was good, the only thing isn't good is the ridiculous difficulty. if you're not lucky step into Monster House event, your run immediately ended
