Good idle with potential to grow!
I really enjoy this game! Lots of ways You can play and approach things. The often mentioned memory issues seem to be fixed. At least there were no issues for us. We hope they keep updating the game and add new cool stuff in the shop and maybe even new skills?
I wanted to recommend it, but I just can't. No technical issues, just issues with choices. The Good *It's Cute *It's "idle-esque" *It's something to do The BAD *Tutorial shows you a lot of things you don't need to know but none of the things that would be helpful. I'm sorry, but collecting your loot from your battle is not intuitive and it's really not in a great spot. *Your loot drop rates are incorrect. The slog to get the loot you need is painful, especially given the loot rates you claim they have. *You can access lots of loot and resources that have zero purpose for a long time. It's great I get chicken legs, but it's not like I can cook them any damn day soon. *Inventory was a pain in the freaking arse. You get so much crap you don't need, and it gets more and more expensive for inventory slots. This just sucked joy out. *Firemaking has it's own level progression... and this is just stupid. You're telling me I need to learn better firemaking in order to know how to throw a different type of log on the fire... yeah, that's logical. Fine, whatever, you did it just so there's progression to it, okay... but then WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY do tasks like cooking and smelting not contribute to the firemaking. Why do I have to go and get logs to JUST BURN FOR THE SAKE OF BURNING in order to level up firemaking so you can use all the types of wood you unlock. This is so so unpleasant. *Let's talk economy... Who in the hell decided the price matrix??? I AM OFFENDED. So, a smelted bronze bar sells for $6 per bar. Then, you can turn 5 bronze bars into a chestplate. Do you know how much that breastplate sells for...? $5!!!! IT SELLS FOR LESS THAN ONE BAR OF BRONZE IS EVEN WORTH. WHY!? I just can't recommend this. After playing for 2.6 hours... all I wanted was my time back... and this was a free game. Maybe they'll change some of these things and it will be worthwile later... but don't spend any money or time on this now.
I really like this game. Chill expiriance. Good mechanics and cute animations. Congatulation for the devs, i recomended thsi game to my friends.
While the gameplay is alright, the save system fails. Progress gets lost, so what's the point?
Great game

Damn I loved this game, a simple Melvor, not to complicated, straight forward. Nice progression but I got hit by the not saving :( :( so there are several different issues with the saving system. Which made me lose progress ;( You cannot have the game open for more then 24 hours, then you'll hit authentication errors and the game doesn't save anymore either. So whenever you try to save & quit, YOU CANNOT because you are not authenticated anymore. The developer hasn't responded to anything on the community for like over a month so I guess he ghosted us too ;( I really think this game had potential. EDIT: "save fix" that he posted, does not work, you get steam errors and it doesn't automatically reconnect, making you get offline gains all over again. (while the game is still open and even though it says " game saved correctly" it doesn't because if you close it and open it again; you'll get "offline rewards for hours" and you lost your progress. EDIT2: Developer already abandoned the project and hasn't responded in months. EDIT3: Still no word from the dev and saves are still not fixed and achievements aren't working properly. No way to get 100% in this game.
Haven't had save issues yet that other refer to. Has been smooth and enjoyable afk game. Needs some tuning here and there with resource drops and the way time scales for resource gathering, but overall not bad. I honestly hope the devs put some more time into this and it would be nice to see a story/quest system that builds the world a little bit added.
Saw lots of mentions of save issues with people losing progress. I initially had issues here and there but I usually caught it pretty quick and just restarted the game so I wouldn't lose much progress. However when I'd let the game do it's thing, you know.. IDLE, when I'd come back every time it would have an issue saving so all IDLE progress was lost. I recently made a ton of progress getting my woodcutting up to around 91 and when I decided to save and restart I went back down to 68. Plus lots of other things lost. Until the save issue is actually resolved I'm done playing. No point in constantly having to redo everything that was lost because the game can't simply save. Or export a save.
