Addictif !
Great idea, calamitous execution. Jumping is required, and yet doesn't work. Also, you can purchase checkpoints which put you on the edge of an infinite chasm. THis would be great if not for the bugs. Refunded.

Title: Stumbling in the Wrong Direction: Runaway VR Review Runaway VR, a virtual reality experience promising exhilarating parkour thrills, falls short of its lofty ambitions, leaving players feeling disoriented and underwhelmed. As someone who eagerly anticipated the rush of adrenaline and freedom of movement, I'm compelled to share my candid assessment of this disappointing journey. Gameplay (2/5): Despite its premise of high-speed parkour in virtual reality, Runaway VR offers a clunky and disorienting gameplay experience that fails to deliver on its promises. The mechanics of running, jumping, and climbing lack polish and precision, resulting in frustrating moments of misalignment and motion sickness. The absence of intuitive controls or meaningful interaction further detracts from the immersion, leaving players feeling disconnected from the action and struggling to engage with the world around them. Graphics and Sound (2.5/5): While Runaway VR boasts a sleek and futuristic visual style, its aesthetics fail to compensate for the game's lackluster gameplay. The environments lack detail and variety, with repetitive textures and uninspired level design contributing to a sense of monotony. Similarly, the sound design, while functional, fails to leave a lasting impression, with generic sound effects and a lack of immersive audio failing to enhance the overall experience. Replayability (2/5): Despite its attempts to offer replay value through procedural level generation and online leaderboards, Runaway VR ultimately falls short in providing a compelling reason to return to the experience. The lack of meaningful progression or strategic depth renders each playthrough feel indistinguishable from the last, with little variation in gameplay or outcomes. The absence of compelling objectives or narrative drive further exacerbates the sense of monotony, leaving players with little incentive to revisit the game after their initial playthrough. Motion Sickness and Comfort (1.5/5): Runaway VR's implementation of locomotion mechanics and camera movement fails to account for the potential for motion sickness and discomfort, resulting in a jarring and unpleasant experience for many players. The lack of options for adjusting movement speed or field of view exacerbates the issue, leaving those prone to motion sickness feeling nauseous and disoriented after only a short time in the game. The absence of accessibility features or comfort settings further limits the audience and detracts from the overall enjoyment of the experience. Community and Support (2/5): While the developer has shown a degree of responsiveness to community feedback and concerns, the overall level of support and engagement leaves much to be desired. Updates and patches have been infrequent and lackluster, with long stretches of silence punctuated by minor bug fixes or cosmetic additions that do little to address the game's fundamental shortcomings. The lack of transparency or communication regarding future plans or development roadmaps further erodes confidence in the game's long-term viability. Conclusion: In conclusion, Runaway VR fails to deliver on its promise of heart-pounding parkour thrills in virtual reality, offering a clunky and disorienting experience that leaves players feeling underwhelmed and disconnected. With lackluster gameplay, uninspired aesthetics, and a dearth of meaningful content or replay value, it struggles to justify its place in the VR landscape. While there may be brief moments of excitement to be found amidst the chaos of movement, they are far too fleeting and marred by discomfort to warrant the investment of time or resources. Overall Rating: 2/5 - Not Recommended
Cheap endless runner for VR that works well if you have the space.
Endless runners are a genre that should work well in VR, and in this case, Runaway VR does the genre justice, but it could use more content and more refinement. It's cheap and fairly addictive. $4.50 sale price, and you get about 20 minutes of content that you can replay for hours. It makes a great workout game, too. You are made to duck and jump in the physical world in order to succeed at playing this game. You'll need a lot of space to jump, duck, and weave over, under, and around obstacles.
