I have been following the development of this game for quite some time. The developer is constantly updating things and It is great that its out now. I do turtle mode. and i feel like my strategy is starting to work. The Island is peaceful. If there's any plan to add multiplayer, maybe coop. and hopefully boats too. I'm up for it.
This is an awful buggy gaming experience, in my opinion. It's a cheap low-budget indie isometric tower defense game with poor graphics and poor optimization. Graphics are low-res, low-poly and the game still suffers from constant frame rate drops, especially when an event loads or just traversing the map. There is also only one graphic setting of low to high. I also experienced a complete loss of the mouse cursor when opening menus such as in the options menu or even when trying to quit the game. In fact, I had to control+alt+delete on several occasions to exit the game because the mouse cursor disappeared. There is also no full controller support and you cannot remap any keyboard controls. There is also no easy way to change the difficulty setting in the options menu and your base is constantly under attack. Enemies do a ton of damage while not taking much from your attacks. You will see the words "you died, revive" over and over again. Overall, I didn't enjoy my time spent with this game so I therefore cannot recommend it.
Gotta say this game is very cool with its spin on a tower defense style game but with all the survival game aspects, like food/water, crafting/building, and all in an open world environment, and not just 1 biome, multiple types to choose from. If your into the top down style games with option to pan view around a bit for more viewing angles, along with enjoy a simple survival game, with the added tower defense concept, then give this game a try for sure. Highly recommend, as the game is still new, being developed by a solo dev, keep this in mind, but from my experience they have been on top of the games progression. As any newer, or early access game, always do the best to provide feedback to allow the developer to better the game and so forth. Keep up the great work to the dev :)
I was hooked by the challenge, every tower could mean the difference between survival and defeat. Building and crafting emblems is a good strategy, lol. I just ran and lure them all to my defenses. I wish there will be pets in maybe to guard the base while I'm away at night. please add controllers too. good game!
I enjoy constructing towers to create the impression of building a metropolis. I hope the game will eventually include more types of buildings. There are numerous unique creatures for every biome, but some of them become too powerful in the later stages of the game. Nevertheless, I can defeat them by outsmarting them with my defenses and collecting an abundance of resources. Up until I started farming for weapons, armor, and towers, I had a challenging time defeating tough creatures.
I think I'm addicted. I love the soundtrack unique to each level. I'm on the hunt for that final achievements hopefully soon, and who doesn't love the movement speed emblem. lol. coz I hate those evasive runners.
playing is wonky. This has potential but not there yet.
Not my thing. The UI is super clunky, crafting is strange and resources are basic. You make everything you need out out the three things you harvest. Maybe I didn't give it enough time, but it was frustrating out of the gate and didn't seem to be getting better. I'll pass.
this is a locked in to a small game map. its rouge and less about and open world hunting as the video makes it seem. more of a pointless grind to only do it all over again for a pointless score. was not fun
I bought this game on sale and have been enjoying it. Its not going to blow your mind and it pretty limited on what you can do, but all that aside, and for a few dollars to support a small developer its worth a play through. The difficulty ramps up rather quickly. On day 3 I was like this is to easy and on day 5 I died the first time.
