Dev, if you exclude the mandatory tutorials, it will be wholesome.
Good gameplay and easy to learn but carrear mode is good but you dont play as your own player you coach and recurit players to club and upgrade leuages in it so a pretty good rugby game worth buying

very fun for rugby players, easy to play
this is a uncommom sports for me living in Brazil, but I already known it, and the game is really great, as graphics, playability and fun - approved!
Fun rugby game with gameplay that's mostly fluid and satisfying. Rugby 22 captures some of the elements of real life rugby, with the realistic elements done well including * player fatigue affects ball retention at breakdown * the line outs are a contest that matter * kicking in play at good times and to good spots of the field affect the game momentum * French Top 14 oriented - best club rugby competition in real world Areas for improvement * Replays are poor * No penalties for holding on or going down at scrum time - huge focus in the modern game * Very limited with major rugby nations outside France (no option to modify key teams like Springboks and England so fans can't simulate their favourite stars) Regardless, its fun to play for rugby fans from any part of the globe!

I really like this game - the first rugby game I've enjoyed since Rugby World Cup 2011. The gameplay is fun, and I felt I was able to play all aspects of the game in a way that felt intuitive. Where the game is lacking is in its polish. There's no cutscene for winning their version of the World Cup, or for winning the URC. It's missing little touches like showing top tryscorer stats and things like that for winning the league. The only bug that irked me was that when playing a league, try-bonus and losing bonus points seem completely inconsistently applies. Sometimes when you save progress, when you reload at a later time, your bonus points have disappeared. In summary: Definitely buy this game if you like rugby. We need to support studios making the effort to keep rugby alive in game form. While it has issues, a single small patch could fix all of them.
Gameplay is a bit wonky like the passes but overall I enjoy it. Also wish it had good stepping as yeah the stepping is very underwhelming
