Saw this game a while ago, immediately fell in love with its original, concise concept. Playing it for the first time today gave me a wide grin :D Here are a few reasons why you should play it too: - surprisingly simple yet engaging! - super cute art! - great for short play sessions too! - support the devs by buying this game => allow them to make more content! The game already offers more than I expected, given that it just started into early access! Fingers crossed for its continued development! 🤞💖
RP7: Spin Your Own Encounter is an unconventional roguelike RPG that takes a familiar genre foundation and transforms it into something surprisingly original. Developed by Turtle Cream and published by IndieArk, the game abandons traditional exploration mechanics in favor of a slot-based encounter system where players influence the journey through spinning reels that determine the events ahead. Rather than directly guiding a hero through a dungeon, players effectively shape the hero’s fate by selecting and managing encounters, creating a unique blend of strategy, randomness, and resource management. The game's central mechanic revolves around seven encounter slots that generate opportunities and dangers. Every spin can reveal enemies, treasure, healing options, merchants, equipment, or unexpected obstacles. What initially appears to be a game of luck gradually reveals itself as a tactical experience where careful planning is often more important than favorable rolls. Players must constantly evaluate which encounters are worth pursuing and which should be avoided, balancing immediate rewards against long-term survival. This system gives the game a distinctive identity and ensures that every decision carries meaningful consequences. Replayability is one of RP7’s strongest qualities. The randomized structure means no two adventures unfold exactly the same way. Different heroes, item combinations, enemy arrangements, and encounter outcomes encourage experimentation across multiple runs. Unlockable content further strengthens the progression loop, rewarding players with additional options that expand strategic possibilities. The constant variety helps maintain engagement and provides the kind of unpredictability that roguelike fans often seek. Combat and challenge progression are handled in a way that complements the slot-based design. Enemies become increasingly dangerous as runs advance, forcing players to think ahead and prepare for tougher encounters. Boss battles serve as major highlights, testing a player's understanding of the game’s systems while introducing unique threats that cannot simply be overcome through luck alone. These encounters require proper preparation, effective resource allocation, and a solid understanding of risk management. The result is a satisfying sense of accomplishment whenever a difficult boss is defeated. The game’s presentation reinforces its accessible nature. Its colorful visual style, charming character designs, and clean interface make the mechanics easy to understand despite their originality. The fantasy setting embraces a playful atmosphere that contrasts nicely with the tension of making high-stakes decisions. Audio design also contributes positively by maintaining a lively energy throughout each run without becoming distracting. Together, these elements create a welcoming experience that can appeal to both genre veterans and newcomers. Another notable feature is the cooperative mode, which allows players to experience the adventure together. Cooperative play adds a social dimension to the decision-making process, turning each encounter selection into a collaborative discussion. Friends can debate strategies, share responsibility for risky choices, and enjoy the unpredictable outcomes generated by the encounter system. This mode helps distinguish RP7 from many other indie roguelikes that focus exclusively on solo play. Despite its many strengths, RP7 is not without shortcomings. The unusual mechanics can require some adjustment, particularly for players expecting a traditional RPG structure. The learning curve may feel steep during the first few runs as players learn how different encounters interact and how best to manage resources. Additionally, because randomness plays a major role, some situations can feel unfair even when players make reasonable decisions. While strategic play generally outweighs pure luck, there are moments where fortune can significantly influence outcomes. What makes RP7 memorable is its willingness to challenge established conventions. Instead of simply adding another variation to the roguelike formula, it introduces a fundamentally different way of interacting with progression and exploration. The encounter-spinning mechanic successfully combines chance and strategy into a system that feels fresh, engaging, and rewarding. It is a game that encourages experimentation, adaptation, and creative thinking while delivering the replayability and tension expected from the genre. For players looking for a roguelike that offers something genuinely different, RP7: Spin Your Own Encounter is an easy title to recommend. Its inventive core concept, strong replay value, satisfying progression, and charming presentation combine to create a memorable experience that stands apart from many of its contemporaries. While a few balance and accessibility issues may limit its appeal for some players, the game's creativity and execution make it a standout indie project. Rating: 7/10

HELPP I CANT STOPPP XDDD Yeap as I thought. This could be a new generation Tetris. With very good gameplay; luck + hand-eye coordination. You need to think fast to carve the path for your hero to walk (especially during bossfight, SUPER CHAOTIC!!). Good loots slot doesnt always good for you and monster slots doesnt always bad for you. Plan carefully and watch your plans fell apart XD. Keep it up and hoping for more content update. Dear Dev, Please dont abandon this game in early access as it has soo muchh potentiall. ^_^
