This is the best game for VR of it's genre since Job Simulator. A well designed game that has you running an icecream stand in space with a impressive array of features and items. It strikes the perfect balance between not over burdening you with minutia and keeping the gameplay flowing with lots of intuative steps. It offers a few game modes, including Campaign progression, which has you unlocking more and more items, increasing the complexity of the job, as well as an endless mode, with lots of options to tweak the gameplay and difficulty. I really appreciate the ability to adjust the "height" for children, similar to what Job Sim lets you do, though even more flexable. This game is a real hit with kids as well as adults. There is a lot of joy setting up your stations for business and then maintaining them as the game progresses. The variety of tasks to create your ice cream treats keep the action fun. The frantic thrill of tossing empty containers into the garbage vapourizer, while simultaniously loading new syrup canisters and shaking on sprinkles shouldn't be this much fun but it definitely is. Graphics are great, with colourful and sharp visuals. Sound effects compliment the action well. The zero gravity effect adds a extra layer as you can keep things floating around your work zone, grabbing what you need, as you swap out items and equipment on the fly. Or accidentally send it flying into space. Controls are fluid and intutive with a few exceptions. I dont like how you need the grip button to deposit ice cream on a cone, it isnt a big deal, but after a bit it can become awkward. Id prefer they just did away with that step and auto placed when you bring the scoop to the cone. The occasional misfire on an hand or button action is too rare to cause any interuption of the fun. The game is pretty stable, no stutter or crashes, though I continualy find the garbage disposal can glitch up, but overrall the action is smooth. A great game that is perfect for those trying out VR for the first time, including those reluctant guests or spouses or just to show off on if you are a veteran VR user. Check it out, this belongs in everyone's library.
What a nice game. Selling ice in Space, i really like games which such an original idea. The Game makes a lot of fun and all is well functional and has to offer a lot. funny, original , a good vr game cool , buy it...!
I have become one with my scoop and thus one with the universal creaminess. Each new ice cream recipe brings me closer to philosophical nirvana. My machine and I work as one, dispensing sugary treats to intergalactic customers who seem to have descended from the infamous 'Space Dude'. Despite their twisted faces and unsettling voices, I happily serve them in my Creamy Sky Chariot, wrapped up in pure zen goodness.
Had a great time with this game. Turns out that making ice cream in space and selling it to odd-looking (even more oddly-talking) aliens is really fun! The physics in the game are good. Somehow watching your ice cream float away into outer space is both funny and sad. I also liked the sounds, just exactly what I imagine I'd hear on a spaceship for ice cream production. The campaign mode where you unlock different ingredients is definitely my favourite. I didn’t play the endless mode much, but I will play it more once I unlocked all the ingredients. Overall, Rosebaker's Icy Treats is a really cool experience that gets better as you progress! Big thumbs up to the developers. One thing though, make sure you have ice cream in your fridge when playing this game 'cause you'll want to eat some. Seriously, the ice cream in the game looks super tasty.
I was gifted this product by a friend. The controls are a little wonky, and the customers/style could use some polish, but overall it's fun!
I love it! It's something about working an ice cream truck from space that makes me feel so alive..lol
THIS GAME IS A UNDERRATED HIDDEN GEM! WOW I LOVE THIS GAME AND ITS MECHANICS! Its really fun and I recommend 8/10
At first impressions, I can already tell what level of quality this game is. It's one of those games where if you can get past the immense lack of polish (and honestly, everything from the menu system to the glitchiness to the performance is a bit of a mess), there's a fun casual experience underneath. In the half hour or so I played, I spent a lot of that time struggling to get through the archaic menu system, figuring out how to play (the tutorial, which is several blocks of text you're supposed to read through, is terrible), and struggling with some basic items (like why i have to manually populate my kitchen every level and where to even put the freakin ice cream cones). But after that, it's actually a lot of fun! And actually, for the amount of content on offer (lots of unlockable flavors and recipes), $5.99 is honestly a very good deal despite the lack of polish. I'll just recommend that whoever tries doesn't give up like I almost did. Because although the developers should have spent a lot more time making sure this game works right (the amount of times i've lost my ice cream scoop and had to generate a new one because I dug too deep into the ice cream bin is so frustrating), overall they made a charming little game.
i find this game very fun to play. but i could be better wiht more tools and stuff. but theres one mechanic i want i the game. i really want a chop chop fold fold mechanics to mix oreos candy eks. that would be very cool. SO PLEASE ADD THIS MECANIC
