If you like your picross/nonogram puzzles, and do not care if they form a picture, this is a good way to enjoy even more. There are many of these games already out there, and besides randomly generated boards, this does not add much. Still, I found it enjoyable enough to sink quite a lot of time into it. My Playtime: 4.3h (100% achievement) Grindy Achievement(s): Yes (3+ achievements). Optional Achievement(s): Yes (21 achievements). Difficult Achievement(s): No.
Intro
InfiniPicross is a Nonogram generator: it'll generate a Nonogram based on the size that you want. The resulting puzzle won't form an image, but at least you'll have an endless supply of Nonograms to play with. Pros: - You can change the theme Cons: - No saving option - Unable to zoom in on large puzzles Specs Steam Deck: AMD Zen 2 4c/8t 2.4-3.5GHz, 16 GB RAM, 8 AMD RDNA 2 CUs
Should you buy this game?
No. It's basically just a Nonogram generator that lacks a lot of QoL features.

In-Depth Review

Visuals
InfiniPicross' default theme is in black and white. However, you can customize the color and the shape of the in-game puzzle to make it more colorful—the default theme becomes too ugly for me after I did that.
The Game
Gameplay If you don't know how to play a Nonogram, the game has a tutorial for it. However, I found it easier to just play with a Nonogram of a smaller size to learn it on your own, especially since the text can be too small and the wording might not be that understandable. You can generate a Nonogram puzzle, whether it's using the seed that you provide or using a random seed that is generated by the game. The size of the Nonogram can be as low as 1x1 to as high as your monitor size allows. However, the game will take a longer time to generate bigger puzzles, and the one with a size as big as your monitor size will technically be unsolvable due to its small size. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1087089236 The game takes a long time to input your solution on bigger puzzles. I tried to solve the 99x50 one and I experienced severe delay, to the point that it's unplayable. Luckily, the same doesn't happen on smaller puzzles, although the transition between the puzzle that you are working on and the next is not smooth - you can see the main menu for a split second before it moves to the next one. As a Nonogram generator, it seems to encourage you to play Nonograms with a smaller size. You can't save your progress if you play a bigger one, and there is an issue that the resulting puzzle will be too small to see if your monitor is too small. The game won't allow you to zoom in and navigate around the puzzle that way so you have to see the puzzle as a whole all the time. I ended up only playing 5x5 puzzles because of this. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1739512712 Length and Difficulty I get all my achievements in 4.2h. You technically can get it faster if you play smaller puzzles. The only difficulty in getting the achievement is to do the 99x50 one, although you can just refer to a Steam guide or use a Nonogram solver if you really need it. It'll still take you a long time to input the solution, though. The generated Nonograms vary in difficulty. I even found some that require some guessing to finish, although luckily, I only played 5x5 puzzles, where it won't become an issue. Issues The game is not optimized for small size. I couldn't see the seed number with my Steam Deck and it's not possible to X-mark the tiles unless you map the keybindings.
Conclusion
InfiniPicross is just a Nonogram generator. It lacks a lot of QoL features that make Nonogram interesting, and it's boring to play Nonograms without any sort of goal. I ended up just playing 5x5 puzzles because there wasn't anything worthwhile in it. Since there are a lot of free Nonogram generators online that you can use like this one, I'd rather not recommend this one.

I used to like this game, but unfortunately they don't support my system anymore. Did run on GNU/Linux Does not any more. I had contact with the costumer support, who were very nice and friendly but they couldn't help me. If it runs for you i do recommend this game, it is fun, but otherwise it is useless. Here is their last message i got:
I'm not certain I can help you, as there seems to be few things on this error online and, worse, it seems there is a non-negligible amount of them dealing with damaged system, sometimes due to a bad fix. I'd rather we didn't risk anything the like, sorry. I sincerely hope you find a fix, let me know if you do (drivers, maybe?), and I apologize if you can't. Feel free to request a refund to Steam and write the issue and that you've tried to solve it, to no avail, with us. I do apologize again and wish you the best,

Je joue sur Linux. Version Linux : excellente.
Hardware : i7 7700K OC@4.9Ghz, Nvidia 1080GTX, 32GB ram. Screens : Dualscreen, 1x 4K & 1x 1920x1200, un seul screen X.
Boring and repetitive. Procedural levels lack soul. The UI looks terrible. No sense of progression at all. Waste of money. Avoid this.
Simples e bem funcional. Pra quem curte nanogramas/picross casuais, é uma ótima e barata pedida.
I played the game for a few hours, and would like to exchange my review with the following, better articulated review written by William Shatner (Steam edition) which overlaps with the experience I had: "Positives: +Custom sized puzzles which allow larger ones than most Nonogram games provide. +Themes and theme customization. Negatives: -All of the puzzles are random gibberish rather than pictures (in exception to one hidden puzzle). -The loading time of the game and of puzzle creation can be very long at times and crash the game at other times. -Resolution restricts puzzle size (W) (H). -Sometimes the game does not accept the puzzle (W) (H) you set and goes back to previous settings. -Desperately needs a way to zoom in and out when doing large puzzles like (W)99 (H)50. -Highlighting is turned off by default for some reason but can luckily be turned on as you desperately need it for huge puzzles. -Can't make puzzles for workshop (which would be a huge plus), but you can make themes for the workshop. Which is weird and a bit pointless. -Uses up a lot of system resources. Neutral: =Price. It would be a positive if not for all the negatives and the fact there is a much better nonogram game that is completely free. It's not a very good nonogram game and can be frustrating at times. There are much better nonogram games on steam. Picross Touch (Free) Paint It Back (Has a demo)"
This Nonogram game has much potential to be better. The amount of versatility, variability and options to create your picture is endless. You can also customize the theme too! However, the play through itself is where the quality falls short. There’s no save option, and you cannot zoom in on larger scale puzzles – this creates a massive and unnecessary delay with completing the ‘Are you mad..?’ Achievement. Thankfully there’s a tutorial to help anyone new to Nonogram games, like me, get into it. But overall, this game is designed better for the smaller scale pictures than the larger ones. I don’t recommend InfiniPicross if you’re looking for a fair challenge, and a smooth playing experience on larger scale images.
