About
A factory where the machine details are designed by you.
There are over 100 mechanically unique blocks in Roody:2d with simple functions that compose into factories or vehicles or factory-vehicles!
The destroyer destroys any blocks in front of it. Towers made out of sand will crumble. Foam floats on water. The potentiometer can tune a wire charge to a specific value. Rubber can't be pulled by magnets.
After playing through the linear tutorial, start a sandbox world and navigate through the research tree.
Master and exploit the interactions between blocks to automate tree and flower farms, monster grinders, digging machines, building machines, or turn on cheats and toy around with everything.

Excellent and devious automation game, where your enemy is space constraints and placement more than throughput. The most direct comparison is a sandbox Infinifactory, where instead of solving specific puzzles you're building contraptions to do tedious tasks for you. Some minor readability issues (sprites blend together a bit in your inventory) and could use more detail in its block info, but still absolutely worth picking up for the engineer inside you. Really glad my friend pointed me towards this game, deserves more attention!

Absolutely enthralling so far. If automation games are your thing, this is a no-brainer: buy it now. The only real downside as of the time of writing is the performance. 23 FPS is crazy low (@4k resolution) considering the 8-bit graphical fidelity, so it's clearly in need of some optimisation. That said, this is not a twitch game, and frame rate is not crucial; the place you notice this is when moving around as the game just doesn't keep up. After the tutorials you're dropped in to the game not quite knowing what to do next, so you slowly begin to work through the tech tree and that essentially drives what you need to figure out next. I feel like the systems have all been seen before but never all together in this format. There's clearly also a lot of scope for the developer to add more and more cunning blocks over time. So far, the only mods I can see are for adding localisation, but if mods become supported, there's no telling where people could take this engine.
I knew I'd found a hidden gem when I realized the only way to automate an early resource was to build a giant ridiculous robotic arm out of conveyor belts and magnets. The game is constantly throwing new and interesting automation problems at you, with plenty of toys to approach them in novel ways. There's a bit of ui jank, but overall a super fun experience for my inner turbonerd.

Gotta say, this game is way more awesome then I thought at first glance. I could try but I wouldn't explain it any better than on the creators website inspiration page It seems to fit exactly where they said, a step towards minecrafts infinite generation and freeness from zachtronics complex machine design puzzles. Its something Ive been looking but couldn't form the concrete idea of it until now and Im excited to explore the possibilities this game provides. So yes, good game :3
Интересная игра, часов на 10-15 хватит побаловаться)))
factorio if it was a puzzle game 10/10
I see this game in my dreams 10/10
