If you've played ExperaGameStudio's previous adventure, this game is about as long as one "act" of it. It's small and short adventure with a few rooms and characters that takes place right before A Tale of Caos, it's VEEERY short, but also very cheap, so it levels out. If you met Cassandra in A Tale of Caos, you might want to know more about her, and if you don't mind a very short adventure game, go for it!

It's short and cute. It's basically a quick point-and-clicker fix and a bunch of achievements you can get done quickly, but it's not a hackjob. Seems to be a pilot pitch for a series of games that never materialized rather than a quick hackjob, which is easy to appreciate. It's not the greatest point-and-clicker in the universe, but for what it's worth, I can't say I regretted getting it.

This is one of those rare times where I was actually glad the game did not have trading cards. 5 dollars full price is WAY to much. I feel like I just played a demo. It was like a concept for a game more than a game to me. Just enough to sell a product, like I bought an add. I am just glad it had simple achievements and I got it for $0.49 cents at 90 percent off at the time of the steam christmas sale. If this was trying to pull me in, all it succeeded in doing was very lightly tapping me on the shoulder.

Un petit jeu d'un week end qui m'a pris 1h30 à terminer, pour quelques centimes en promo Steam il vaut vraiment le coup principalement pour les fans de point & click gros pixels et les nostalgiques des années 90. L'aventure est simple et sympa, énigmes logiques (sauf la porte à déverrouiller dont je n'ai pas compris la technique). C'est de la science fiction de série Z qui ne se prend pas au sérieux et ça fait passer un bon moment! 13/20

It took me 53 minutes to 100% the game without looking at any guides. Nice classic point and click. The slow walking and the inability to pan the camera around would be annoying if the game wasn't so short, with only 6 different rooms. 53 minutes of playime may be too little even for 5 euros, but I got it for 1,99 on sale and I'm fairly satisfied. Recommended.

[i]Rogue Quest: The Vault of the Lost Tyrant[/i] is a decent tribute to the classic LucasArts point & click adventure games of the 1990s. Scenes are made of prerendered, colorful backgrounds and best of all is how well the sprites scale when relative depth adjusts. Yes, the artwork is pixelated however the artwork scales and allows for detailed information to be retained when shrunk in size. If only the point & click games of past decades had access to higher resolutions too! The characters are boisterous and talk aloud with every action. It's amusing and reminiscent of Guybrush Threepwood from [i]Monkey Island[/i] or Indiana Jones. [i]Rogue Quest: The Vault of the Lost Tyrant[/i] relies upon this nostalgia to sell itself and yet it is held back by it. The slow walking back and forth from rooms will take up the majority of the game's short time. Exhausting every dialogue option will take several minutes and when a dialogue branch is activated you must suffer through the same delayed lines of text. This was a trade off of earlier technology when point & click adventures were best sellers in the early 1990s but the memorable storylines and character dialogue overcame limited user interface mechanics. Unfortunately [i]Rogue Quest: The Vault of the Lost Tyrant[/i] fails to deliver a memorable storyline or rich dialogue. It is an enjoyable husk of a game but a very short one at just over 30 minutes. The backstory is minimal and feels like a prelude that never received a full treatment. Diehard fans of point & click adventures will want to check it out as well.I would [b]not recommend[/b] it to the gaming public at large but if ExperaGameStudio ever develops the story with a sequel, I would recommend [i]Rogue Quest: The Vault of the Lost Tyrant[/i].

Rogue Quest: The Vault of the Lost Tyrant is a nice and short but well-made point-n-click adventure. There is some nice artwork here. Backgrounds have seen some love and support the semi-dark atmosphere and there are a few good animations. However, you will probably be done with the game in a little over an hour and there seems to be no replay value. I am sort of hoping there will be another chapter of Rogue Quest. Recommended.

Short, a little too simple, and some translation errors. It's about the length of a single level of a full length point-and-click adventure game. Took me ~1.5hrs to get through. Solid interface. There is no fast walk. More than anything, the character and world building were kind of interesting. Left me wanting more at the end.
