English Version (french below) : It's been a while since I last played it, but I really liked this game. It's similar to Slay the Spire for those who have played it but to summarize, it's a rogue-like turn-based strategy game. It has several characters with their own skills and unique gimmick. It has this unique art direction and nice music that make it stand out. One of the main mechanics of the game is the "Devil essence" or something like that which serves both as your health bar (it gets depleted when a character with no health gets damaged) and a cheat code : you can use it to delete enemy buffs, get their health down or your own health up... Having your own health into a resource to "cheat" is such a cool idea. The only problem is that you get very few essence so you don't really get to take advantage of that a whole lot, even towards the end of a run. Do know that the game can get really challenging with some very strong bosses though.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Долго и скучно.
Not Recommended. Rogue Lords is a mix of Slay the Spire and Darkest Dungeon 2. You choose three characters and set out to defeat a final boss of each story arc, selecting a route through a map of predetermined encounters. Along the way, you fight regular and elite enemies, encounter events with skill checks, visit shops, recover resources, and upgrade your characters. And after each run ends, you unlock additional items and sometimes new characters, giving you more options for future runs. The game's unique twist is the Devil Mode mechanic, which lets you spend Demonic Essence to “bend the rules” and influence certain outcomes, such as skill checks, HP, and buffs during combat. It's a genuinely interesting mechanic that should help balance out some of the game's RNG. Unfortunately, the gameplay becomes frustrating very quickly - The overworld mostly feels like pointless walking between encounters, the UI is clunky, and combat becomes repetitive. Enemies often feel like damage sponges, making fights drag on far longer than they should. The biggest problem is the lack of control over skill progression. You may have a build in mind based on the starting skills you receive, but the game may simply refuse to give you the skills you need. RNG can then throw encounters at you that require tools you never had a reasonable chance to obtain, making some runs feel doomed from the start. Rogue Lords is simply very frustrating to play. It has a lot of potential, but the execution makes it difficult to recommend. It needs better balancing, particularly when it comes to RNG and skill progression.
I've seen much better and far worse, but on sale for under $2.50 (usd)? It's totally worth it.
Unfortuanately the game is completely unbalanced. Two Examples, all in the first chapter: - Three enemies, dealing double and tripple damage all on one character that has 25 LP. Instant death. - Boss cannot be attacked because Bloody Marie, my main damage dealer at that point, can only attack the enemy with the lowest HP. So I attack the minions, but the boss spawns new ones faster than I can kill them. So because the game does not react on my characters but just throws random enemies at you, it gets frustrating very fast.
One of the worst roguelikes i ever played in terms of UI design. Recommend skip.
I was hesitant to buy it, but I'm so glad I did. After getting used to the overworld and navigation, I'm having so much fun with how all the features interact with each other in planning your route. The devil essence mechanic also was jarring at first, but I've fallen in love with it in no time! Great game, full of strategy and agency.
