Rodland is the best because when he eats you he is saving you because the fox is more harsh so he is worse 10/10 pissed myself.

♥♥♥♥ you rodland let me turn a corner without having to STOP and CHECK im IMPATIENT!!!!! A short and sweet game that doesnt overstay its welcome. The mechanics were fun to learn & improve at and I love the artstyle. A sequel would be nice but as it is it's easily the best "mascot horror" type of game I played. Also the pipes will always win.
In these "buddy horror" games the learning curve usually relies on you recognizing small inputs and hints to react in certain ways to avoid monsters and hazards, in Rodland Of Pipes this is replaced by mapping out a giant level that feels impossible until half an hour later you can breeze trough it with ease, something that makes every pipe feel satisfying and different from the last. In a way though that's also one of the game's weaknesses, too much of the gameplay is based on the mapping and i feel like there is a lot of wasted potential with the enemies which are all just glorified quick time events, i was pretty disappointed in that as i feel like none of them, except for one
(the purple slime thing that you have to hold PING to explode)
, really interacted with the existing game functions in a meaningful or intresting way and i think there was alot of wasted potential there. I'd love to see a sequel which plays more with its mechanics (like some monster that messes up your GPS orrr like a guy that you have to run away from in the pipes... there are just so many cool ideas that could work!!!) Overall though simple concept, good execution and a great artstyle. Maybe a bit too short for 8€ but i had a good time
Some of the best horror I've played or seen, does a fascinating control scheme and simplistic but fear-inducing graphics well, and I would say the ending is so perfect that it's only beaten out by the unbeatable Connection Terminated. If you have any interest in FNAF-likes or even general horror, I'd strongly suggest you give this a shot at the very least.
Absolutely love this game so damn much; the character design, sound design, everything. Especially love Rodland's "The Pipes Will Always Win," if you know, you know. While most people end up watching playthroughs of the game instead of buying it, I did both. I couldn't pass up this game. I have to mention another thing: the jumpscares. They're unbelievably well done, the hand-animated jumpscares are top-tier in my opinion (most jumpscares you encounter in other games are usually just the character jumping at you, or appearing in from the side, etc.) I would love to see some behind the scenes stuff sometime, whether posted in-game or somewhere else (like YouTube), perhaps the development process, character models (that you otherwise wouldn't see in-game), animations, character design, etc. Thanks, Justin Jones! The Pipes will always win.
Saw it on youtube waited a couple years and decided to get it, future career is now plumber
