I just played this for a few minutes and this game has aged incredibly well and still fun even to this day. I think the most impressive thing about this game is how nice and tight the level design is. Everything seems to work so well in these small levels. Very impressive.
Charming! I finished this now and finally realized that there are a few bonus arcade games too. Actually, even the main game feels like a collection of the type of little home-made games we made for the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64, just with a lot more enemies. I am happy that I played with a controller, since this is a twin-stick shooter which can be somewhat unforgiving at times. The collision detection sometimes seemed to detect collision before I did, which caused some frustration, but it may be my own fault for beginning to getting used to games where you can graze bullets. It was in any case easier than many vintage games. The light-hearted story ties all the different levels together well, but don't be mislead into thinking that this is just a shallow game about steampunk mining on Mars. If looking deeper, it actually teaches an important life lesson: Never be without scones, cheese and tea.

Inspired by the system (ZX Spectrum) which made me fall in love with videogames, I can almost taste my Creamola Foam fueled days passed. It plays like the early games from that system, a wee bit like 'treasure island'. Whether you'll dig it comes down to the level of nostalgic you have for these kind of games. Personally the developer Tikipod Ltd can't do wrong with me, he/she isn't paying me to say this either. I just really enjoy playing Tikipods games e.g. Aqua Kitty. Now I wonder if I can plant the seed of them doing a 'Dizzy' game for us that no longer have a speccy. 10/10 would enjoy a tape loader again

I loved the original version on PS Mobile, and I love the DX version even more. Great retro aesthetic, with actually interesting/fun/addictive gameplay to back it up. Fantastic stuff!
