📝 English review below / Reseña en inglés más abajo 🔶 Una aventura gráfica tradicional lastrada por acertijos ilógicos y un desarrollo narrativo que desconecta por completo al jugador. 📝 RESEÑA EN ESPAÑOL No soy muy amante de los juegos point and click o apunta y clickea o como se diga en español, son esos juegos como Monkey Island donde uno tiene que manejarse básicamente con el mouse y descifrando cuestiones de la trama que muchas veces no tienen ningún sentido. Podría decir el famoso dicho de a caballo regalado, pero es que este juego ni regalado me dieron ganas de seguir. ¿Qué es eso de armar una tarta y dejarla en una ventana para que unos soldados que protegían una puerta se vayan? En fin, un poco del sin sentido que les decía. A la falta de lógica en la resolución de puzles se le suma una presentación sumamente genérica, con una narrativa plana que no ofrece ningún estímulo visual ni argumental para continuar avanzando. ✅ Puntos positivos: • Intenta adaptar la leyenda de Robin Hood desde una perspectiva diferente dentro del género de objetos ocultos y puzles. ❌ Puntos negativos: • Rompecabezas y puzles absurdos que carecen de lógica interna, frustrando la progresión. • Jugabilidad lenta y monótona basada en clics constantes sin un diseño de niveles inspirador. • Calidad visual y narrativa muy básica que no logra enganchar ni generar interés por la historia. 🎯 Conclusión: Robin's Quest: A Legend Is Born falla en los aspectos esenciales que hacen atractiva a una aventura gráfica. Entre el sinsentido de sus puzles y una narrativa sin fuerza, el juego no ofrece incentivos suficientes para mantener la atención, convirtiéndose en una experiencia prescindible incluso si se obtiene sin costo alguno. 🔸 PUNTUACIÓN FINAL: 2/10 📝 REVIEW IN ENGLISH 🔶 A traditional point-and-click adventure weighed down by illogical puzzles and a narrative that completely disengages the player. I'm not a big fan of point-and-click games, those titles like Monkey Island where you basically navigate using just the mouse and decipher plot elements that often make no sense at all. I could use the old saying "don't look a gift horse in the mouth," but even for free, this game gave me zero desire to keep playing. What's up with baking a pie and leaving it on a windowsill just to get the guards protecting a door to walk away? Anyway, just a sample of the nonsense I was talking about. On top of the illogical puzzle design, the presentation is extremely generic, featuring a flat narrative that provides no visual or story incentive to push forward. ✅ Pros: • Attempts a fresh take on the Robin Hood legend within the hidden-object and puzzle genre. ❌ Cons: • Absurd puzzles that lack internal logic, leading to frustrating progression. • Slow, monotonous gameplay loop revolving around mindless clicking without engaging level design. • Bare-bones visual and narrative quality that fails to pull you into the story. 🎯 Conclusion: Robin's Quest: A Legend Is Born falls short on the core elements that make graphic adventures enjoyable. Between its illogical puzzle design and uninspired storytelling, the game gives players very little reason to stay invested, making it a frustrating experience even if picked up for free. 🔸 FINAL SCORE: 2/10

I love the dialog and the bow and arrow game.

One of the more ridiculous additions to the genre, this game attempts a feminist twist on the whole "Robin of Loxley" tale. While your husband helplessly withers in prison, you, Robin Hood, his faithful wife, embark on a quest of medieval revolution. You have to build a band of "Merry Men", win archery contests, scour the land for gold and resources and apply violence to the right pressure points of the ruling feudal order to see it crumble.

Game has 2 bugs. 1.-First bug: Treasure Chest hidden object. Eye patch did not load as a clickable object even though I was supposed to find it. Used the hint option multiple times, and still nothing. 2.-Second bug was end game. I completed the quest, but game froze on the end title screen and had to shut the game down the not so good way. The game is charming, but I don't forgive bugs.

A row of quests tied in to the classic Robin Hood story.

A very casual and fun little hidden object puzzle adventure, although the mini-games could have been a bit more challenging. You play Robin Hood—who, in a twist on the traditional tale, this time is a woman—as she tries to free her husband from jail and stop Prince John from taking over the English throne from King Richard while he's on crusade. Along the way she picks up her band of merry men who add their own abilities to Robin's archery skills (e.g. once Little John joins, his strength can be used to move heavy objects). Also there are a number of side-quests where Robin, true to form, helps the townspeople as they are being extorted by the nobility (steal from the rich, give to the poor). Unlike many games in the genre, voice-acting is pretty decent in this one. The artwork looks good and is rather colourful and cartoonish in style, which fits well with the non-violent methods employed by the characters (there is one bit where Little John extracts information regarding the correct key from the Sheriff of Nottingham, but this happens off-screen and it is implied that John uses his intimidating presence rather than violence). This, combined with the fact that the mini-games are a bit easy for my taste, makes me think that this game was intended for a somewhat younger audience. The game encourages the player to remove all wanted posters and collect all gold caches, but there is no reward for finding them all (no achievements in this game, not even a "Congratulations, you've found all collectibles!"), except to satisfy one's own obsessive compulsive tendencies. I'm still wondering why I had to collect all that gold, because apart from at the very beginning, when some gold is required for the archery tutorial, it's never again used for anything else [spoiler](although during the epilogue it is mentioned that Robin used her earnings to build a nice home for her expanding family)[/spoiler]. Despite the lack of difficulty and rather short length, I still enjoyed playing [i]Robin's Quest: A Legend Born[/i]. However, I would mostly recommend this game to younger players.
