Robin's Island Adventure

Un puzzle-game sans originalité principalement constitué de phases de match-3. Un scénario digne des films pro-colonialistes du siècle passé (la sage blanche qui apprend la vie et la science aux petits sauvages, au grand dam du méchant sorcier du village). Passez votre chemin, il y a bien mieux et gratuit.

Starts off as kind of an interesting romp . Decent story with a match 3 in a row sort of thing to clear a path for someone to move along. It's cool but it does get a bit repetitive. My former review was critical, but I was missing out on a large portion of the game not buying and using artifacts......their use is critical for progression or levels will take you forever.

Juego simplon,de puzzles,la historia como la del titanic....bo habia nada mas original que robinson crusoe?. Musica repetiti va y los puzzles los mismo,dado un momento llegar a un nivel de dificultad cataclismo etc etc etc..... Pasa de este juego,es aburrido.

Decent puzzles game. Some puzzles are more difficult than others, but enjoyable nonetheless. Buy on sale.

I bought this as part of the Shaman Games bundle but if I had spent money on only this game I would be horribly disappointed and perhaps would even get a refund. I can see what they were going for with the different match-3 types (to keep a long game interesting) but it was annoying as I'd get used to swapping and then wonder why I couldn't swap things anymore as it changed to clicking things instead. Also, each individual item you match is FULLY animated on hover and it's very distracting as you mouse over them to make matches. Paired with the colours, it made me feel a bit sick (spinning green beetle was the worst), which is why I gave up on this game so quickly.

This is a casual match-3 mixed in with light HOG and some mini games to complete the picture. You can play this in two ways: relaxed mode and timed mode. The main problem with the game is that it gets repetitive and boring pretty quickly. After a while, you feel like doing a grind for completion. The story is quite forgettable. Power-ups are earned through points. To do so, you must grind for half of the total levels. In the last or so levels, match-3 games become hard to clear as so many tiles are bound by chains. So, they force you to use power-ups quite often. Tiles fall diagonally instead of vertically. That was a strange design choice. Only two soundtracks are played on a loop throughout the game. They become boring after a while. So, turn off the sound and listen to something else, since sound feedback is not required to play the game. Had a good time. But, it lasted for the first couple of hours. After that, it was a chore to play. There are no steam achievements. Only in-game trophies. And that too is not explained (in short, they are hidden). To be honest, I would not recommend getting this, even if it's in a bundle. My verdict: 3/10
