Roadside Research is a 1 to 4 player co-op gas station simulator. Except you’re aliens. And undercover. Do very human things like restocking shelves while preparing for the invasion. Just don’t get caught.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.43/day in the week to Aug 13 → 13.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Aliens have landed on Earth… to run a gas station. Play solo or up to 4 players and do human tasks to blend in. People depend on you, it’s your job to make sure that the shelves have the correct items, refuel customers passing by, and provide food for travelers. But most importantly, you must conduct your research.
Your mission is simple. Gather all data you can from humans without their knowledge. Scan, steal, and test various methods on customers while they stop by the gas station. Be careful not to raise the “suspicion meter” too high, as that will trigger the visit of government officials.
During the day, take care of the gas station as an ordinary employee. Restock the shelves, order wares for the shop, refuel passersby, and exchange goods for cash. At night you will be able to gather your thoughts, and plan for the next day.
Balance between two missions, upgrading the gas station to attract more customers and upgrading your alien tech to process data and gather information more efficiently. To blend in, draw a very normal human expression on your state-of-the-art disguise.
During closing hours, you can also upgrade the station, inside and outside to make sure everything is going according to plan.
Chaotic solo or co-op fun: Gather friends or play alone to manage the gas station while pursuing your alien mission.
Dual Upgrade Path: Manage upgrades for your gas station and for your alien technology at the same time
Satisfying Simulation: Clean, cook, and stock your workplace with all necessary supplies and items to make sure every customer leaves satisfied.
Alien Deception: Make sure to stay disguised and don’t get caught by human government officials. If you are too suspicious, they will turn you into goo.

10/10 game, it's a super fun game and it is so emotional it makes me goop all over the screen. Would recommend.
The game is exceptionally funny, especially if you are playing with friends and you are trolling each others with some of the guns that you can purchase. You can pretty much do about anything you think of , as far as the game allows it 😅. ( A side note to the devs tho - there is a slight bug ( a friend told me, i did not see that myself ) if you pick up some item with a different basket / box, the item glitches and it disappears or something like that. Look into it. #Thanks.

Fun game! There are small UI elements that could be improved, but regardless it's fun and a great experience.
It's fun for about 3 hours, after that you're just restocking shelves hoping it gets more fun. The alien aspect is cool but it doesn't really have any substance. There's zero risk to anything. Most sim games like this allow you to hire staff; I know this is for co-op play but it would be nice in solo play if we could recruit fellow aliens to help stock shelves and what not.
fun
Great game to play with your friends, it gives the vibe of schedule one in its prime, the music, atmosphere and gameplay, truly recommend.
