Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Waited for a while to buy into this game, looks cool and refreshing with SMASH bro gameplay.. finally buy it on sale for 15 instead of 30, log into the game... a in-game store with skins you can actually purchase with real money. Why would they paywall their game and still keep a shop in it instead of pushing for some supporter packs? Nah. It's so over for this game, it was at 2.6k+ when I bought it, it's back to 1.2k as I write this. Either they go free to play and keep the store, or they remove the store and give people something to play for, for paying 30 dollars.
its fun when you paly etalus
Bruh why is there a battlepass and 8 pound skins in this game?
(Original) A very fun, fast paced, high-execution platform fighter that loses all semblance of fun once you take it seriously thanks to the devs' idea of balance. Fast moves are unsafe, slow moves are safe, and you can prevent death by holding down. If you enjoy platform fighters, it's definitely worth checking out. If you lean more toward the casual side, I highly recommend AVOIDING online play and just sticking to CPU or friend lobbies. (Edit) Hoo boy, really hate doing this type of thing, but I can't in my right mind leave this without correcting it to reflect recent choices. Rivals 2 is a great game to play if you want more reasons to play Rivals 1. Missing a character from the Rivals 1 roster? Go play Rivals 1. They won't be joining the roster anytime soon thanks to crossovers and "remix rivals." Want diegetic workshop content? Go play Rivals 1. They noticed workshop content isn't getting pumped out for 2 since it requires significantly more effort, so they're just going to let you play as pixelated workshop characters from Rivals 1's workshop instead. Want actual singleplayer content? Go play Rivals 1. We have had story mode pushed back twice now, and that is the only thing on the horizon. Rivals 1 has the endless Abyss mode and the silly Tetherball mode. It also has unlocks to strive for in the game for FREE. Want to use a neat palette? Go play Rivals 1. The devs would rather burn their own fingernails off than add more than 3 palettes to the store every 3 months, and the custom color functionality literally exists already in Rivals 2, they're just pushing the feature back even more despite it being in the "beyond" section of the FIRST ROADMAP. I am immensely worried about the direction Rivals of Aether 2 is going. Play it now before it becomes unbearable.
I came to this game from smash bros and I was not disappointed I love this game and I heavily recommend it to anyone who is even slightly interested
It's good.
Gameplay is smooth and punchy. Character design is top-tier. Visuals and music are amazing. Responsive devs, active community. My favorite game!
