Risk of Rain is an action platformer with roguelike elements. With permanent death as a primary feature, players will have to play their best to get as far as possible. Fight on a mysterious planet with randomly spawning enemies and bosses, either alone or with 3 friends in online co-op.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 21 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly, I love this game to bits. It's quite rough around the edges, and (obviously) lacks a lot of the polish and design philosophy of the second, but it's fun. Really fun. It absolutely has flaws, like some mediocre level design, or how tanky most enemies are, their lack of mobility, and how arduous it can be to get rid of them all after a teleporter attack, but at its core, the gameplay is so much fun, and it's a sensory delight to see a thousand different missiles and other items fly off at once and rain down on a bunch of mushrooms and giant jellyfish. The characters are quite varied and unique, and the process of getting enough items at a quick enough pace to get ahead of the curve of the difficulty that ramps up over time is genuinely really exciting, partially due to how much more impactful the elements of time are in this game compared to the sequel. Getting ahead of the enemies and going from just barely making it by the skin of your teeth to becoming an unstoppable force of nature is inherently incredibly satisfying - and even if it weren't - I'd still probably boot this game up once every few months just to hear Moisture Deficit, Surface Tension, or Double ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Rainbow again. Despite being rough, if you stick with it, it's a highly rewarding game to learn and it holds up in terms of gameplay and how much fun it is, to the point of being absolutely worth checking out on its own merits, beyond potentially wanting to see the origins of its even more beloved sequel.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

**10/10.** Went in expecting rain: got bullets, awesome monsters, and a gambling addiction instead. Lore is incredible & at first i had absolutely no idea wtf was happening, but apparently, it’s my fault.
