Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 21 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This game completely surprised me with how much fun it really gets. When I launched it the first couple times I was confused about what it exactly wants from me, or what the appeal is, but then soon I had my first build that "clicked"... and damn is it fun haha!! Things can escalate real hard in this game and I love that.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Surprisingly it's not the 2013th game in the series
Just got to the ending, or at least one of the endings, and took me 66 minutes and around 6-8 drones with a lots and lots of power ups to achieve that lol. In the beginning the game is slow and stuff, but as you go on and on, gathering powerups and killing and dodging and everything, by the ending it just becomes pure chaos and pure power fantasy. Especially the boss fight with
providence
was epic. I don't know if I should keep playing this game to get other endings or with any other classes and all, but even with the little time I got with it, and the fun I had by the end of my first run where I reached an ending, will always stay with me, and who knows, maybe if I decide to return to play this more in the future when I am craving that high again. Haha. Edit: I don't know why it is showing three diffrent timings for me on steam. The library says 4.3 hours, the review edit says 3 hours, and when I publish the review it says 1.4 hours. Dunno what's broken lol,
Hard to progress, but once you understand you and the enemies work it's lots of fun. I can't stop playing this.
At first, the game feels really rewarding. Unlocking new characters and finding item combos adds a lot of variety to each run. But after a while, the levels start to repeat and the grindy progression gets tiring. It’s fun for a bit, but it gets boring pretty quick. 5.5/10 – Good start, but doesn’t stay fun for long.
Risk of Rain

Modest but Great Roguelike

Worth trying!
Risk of Rain is a roguelike game set on a fictional planet with hostile wildlife and various obstacles. This game also includes platforming and progression elements that add more depth to the gameplay. Gameplay: Fun platformer roguelike game with good combat mechanics and unlockables Art: Nice pixel art style and good minimalistic environments Music: Amazing and immersive soundtrack Achievements: Easy but time-consuming achievements
Gameplay
Risk of Rain has a slow pace at the beginning of each run due to our character having a very limited mobility and speed, aside from dealing low damage to enemies, this makes progressing through areas slow at first. However, as the run goes on, the game becomes more enjoyable as you gain new abilities and special items that make combat faster and more dynamic. The only problem I find with the game is that it has an inconsistent difficulty curve. At the beginning, the game can be quite challenging due to the lack of useful items compared to the number of enemies you'll have to fight if you spend too much time in the early areas. However, the late game becomes more manageable and even easy once you’ve gathered enough items, drones, and upgrades by that point. It’s pretty easy to break the game in the late stages if you’ve managed to survive up to that point. The variety of characters is pretty solid, and each class has its own set of skills and different playstyles. This feature helps the game’s replayability. Over time, however, it’s easy to end up sticking with a single character that best fits your playstyle. The number of available items to upgrade our character is quite good, and these can include both passive defensive and offensive items.
Art and World Design
This game maintains a simple visual style. However, this sometimes makes enemies or accessible paths harder to see. Levels are randomly generated, and the environments are visually appealing. On the other hand, the design of playable characters and enemies is barely noticeable due to how small their sprites appear. Some are more detailed than others, but most of them don’t stand out visually.
Music and Sound effects
Risk of Rain’s soundtrack is simply incredible. The variety of tracks is good, and each one creates a great gameplay atmosphere.
Multiplayer
Unfortunately, the multiplayer mode is pretty much abandoned, but that’s understandable for a game that’s been out for such a long time.
Clunky, slow, dissatisfying. I had hoped for much greater things but just didn't find it fun or engaging. There are much better roguelikes and action platformers out there. I'd rather be playing Enter The Gungeon or Spelunky.
Love this game! Got on sale way back in 2016, when the price was only 0,60 cents. And for that amount of money there is value in every single playthrough
