Entry level game for Ageod games. Too bad it is ridden with small bugs. Worst of all: the game has a tendency to crash or freeze.
Zachęcam też do poprzedniej gry AgED tj. Alea jacta est - tym razem o Rzymianach. To na pewno gra do której zawsze wracam.polecam.
Changing my review to negative. I finally reached the 3rd Silesian war, and my game crashes every single time I am holding shift and hover my mouse off of one of the menus while not zoomed in, especially the lower screen UI. I crashed 3 times in 10 minutes til I realized I could replicate it indefinitely. It is only in the game's main campaign, and I don't think I can fix it. And I don't think AGEOD will either. -------------- This is the first AGEOD title I have really gotten into. It's a lot of fun. A little buggy, but It's definitely a good place to start to learn about how AGEOD titles work. It seems to be one of the "simpler" ones. It features 3 different wars of note to fight in. the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd silesian wars. It features some gamey events unfortunately, but thankfully it's pretty open to what you can do strategically once the wars themselves start without holding your hand.
Deeply complex game where player controls armies and plan for victory. One false move can cost the campaign, be that a bad positioned column, a fool charge into superior enemy force or as simply as forgetting to couple one's force to its supply detachment left behind last turn to speed up the march. As this is my first AGEOD game, I remember all so well the feeling when Saxons invaded mainland Prussia, Berlin almost captured because I put my "Home Front" troops at a wrong place while the main army was still campaigning in Bohemia. Graphic wise, not much to write about. The player gets a 2D map of Central Europe and an option between 2D army stacks or 3D ones. Personally, I prefer the former, as coupling with the map, it is quite charming. The game is truly easy to learn. Orders and movements are pretty simple but to dwell more into it, one will discover the complexity of the game's mechanics. New players are encouraged to read the manual and do more research on AGEOD's forum as there is a wealth of information regarding how to play ROP effectively while still enjoying the immersive experience it provides. Overall, for a fairly old game and game style, it deserves a 9/10. My complain is there are still to few AGEOD games on Steam.
It's so hardcore, I've never seen such a difficult strategy game before! Absolutely love it. In this game even losing becomes a pleasure.

I honestly dont know what was going on in this game... something political. I expected a totally different game. I probably should have looked at some play throughs of it before investing
Rise of Prussia it could have been fun, but sadly it lacks support, I remember playing the game a bit in the past while it worked, but it has changed so that i cant run the game without recieving a ctd everytime i start a battle which is simply unacceptable. Patching the game to the most recent version 1.11 does not alleviate this issue and it seems like the game is not recieving much support either, i have seen that the patch to version 1.1 came 1 and a half years later than when the patch was released, not a good sign. Therefore i suggest staying away from this game which could have been possibly also quite a fun mp experience and show more intresting facts about the seven years war.
This is an old turn based grand strategy/turn based military sim set in the late 18th century, Europe. Click on various territories, move troops around, have battles sometimes, it's a familiar theme. This one is aged fairly badly. Resolution is locked, it doesn't look too bad on a 4K monitor but it's not great. The game hasn't been optimised for modern systems, it runs sluggishly. There's reports of gamebreaking bugs impacting many users. The developers indicated a long time ago they were working on a fix, but nothing has been forthcoming, so we should consider this game to be abandoned and out of support. Despite the problems the developers are aware of and refuse to fix, they're trying to get people to pay $20 for this broken game instead of removing it from sale. That's unethical. $20 USD would get you just about any of the newer Total War games, by comparison, so you can see why it's impossible to recommend this.
