Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Sep 1 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Rift Wizard 3 is a tough as nails traditional roguelike wizard simulator. You play as an immortal amnesiac wizard who must journey through the cosmos to defeat his nemesis. Each run, you'll build a new repertoire of spells and magical artifacts, discovering new and powerful synergies.

Rift Wizard uses an open build system, and allows the player to buy any spell or spell upgrade at any time. This gives the player massive flexibility, allowing them to test out new ideas each run. Try blasting apart your foes with fire and/or lightning, summoning hordes of metallic constructs, or once you're bored of the simple stuff, delve deep into obscure arcane metamagical trickery.

Rift Wizard's unique portal system means the player always has agency over what challenges they face. You choose which levels to visit, where to start, and how to spend your resources. There is no stealth or stair dancing in Rift Wizard: you must face each level head on and obliterate your foes with whatever tools you possess. Rift Wizard eschews randomness and complex combat formulas in favor of puzzle-like simplicity, where every game piece is easily understandable. Every victory is earned, every death deserved.

New to Rift Wizard 3 is a deep and strategic crafting system. You will find a vast assortment of crafting components strewn across the ruins of the universe, which can be combined to form powerful magical artifacts giving passive buffs to the wizard. The player must make difficult choices about how to allocate their limited and diverse magical resources, with rare crafting ingredients even having unique impacts on the crafted item.

The craftable equipment has a wide variety of effects, ranging from stat bonuses to event triggers. Most passive skills and equipment from the previous games have been brought back in some form as craftable equipment, and more than a hundred new items have been added to the game. Make lightning fly out of your arcane damage, commandeer enemy spawners, give your demon summons fire breath, the possibilities are endless!

Rift Wizard 3 adds a slew of new enemies and bosses to the game, from the spry and pushy Leghead to the alien and terrifying Void Child, from old favorites like Slazephan the Serpent Philosopher to new legends like the vengeful nature god Gaia. The final boss encounters, including Mordred himself, have been greatly expanded and revised as well.

The goal of Rift Wizard 3 is to continually place the player in high pressure tactical situations that challenge their creativity and analytic abilities, and to create a strategic sandbox that rewards brilliance, experimentation, and adaptation to constantly changing circumstances. With every installment in the series, we push farther towards this goal, and we are quite happy to share the depth we have created in Rift Wizard 3.

I made a wall surround my guy and shot people with a magic bullet to get to the final boss just for him to rip it away like jack did in the shining
the GOAT. gameplay is obscenely difficult but so exceptionally rewarding as your mastery and understanding of the build system grows. a genuine 10/10 and gold standard of the roguelike genre.
Great addition to this series, really feels like an overhaul of the system from previous games and the new artwork is a lot of fun!

Amazing! Outstanding! Increadible! The Pros: Huge depth of gameplay. Countless possible builds in a roguelike that just begs you to assemble yourself differently next time. Hundreds of items and hundreds of spells, which synergize in non-trivial ways. And an upgrade system that allows spells to synergize in ways not available at initial spell purchase, so they can fit in your current build of choice. In short, you'll have o p t i o n s. The Cons: Difficult. Not for the faint of heart. A great majority of spells and items feel underpowered for the investment of MP or Mats. Some enemies feel unnecessarily tanky. Could always use some more options to fill the gaps of the existing stuff. Some schools of magic feel under-loved, as they lack variety and options, such as slime or ritual. Slime in particular struggles even killing spawners as they have 100% poison res. Equipment work inconsistently and unintuitively (my biggest complain is that multiplicative buffs are ONLY applied once, on the stats you had ON CRAFT, and NOT continuously updated). The entire product needs finetuning (hence the early access I suppose).
So peak
Rift Wizard 3 is another exceptional entry in a great series of high challenge rogue-like games that pit you against a ramping difficulty engineered to force you to think of solutions and challenge your ability to combine components into a cohesive and salient strategy. The spellbook and equipment options are immense, and each run through the game presents novel pressure at engaging the player's thinking. Rift Wizard 2 & now 3 will easily be my most played games in 2025 & now 2026.
Words cannot describe the biblical amount of anger I have for those extra turn giving, angel bastards
if you're a certain type of autistic this game will hit like crack
Rift Wizard 3 is the latest and arguably greatest entry in the trilogy, and it, like its predecessor, revamps several elements of its gameplay in order to differentiate itself from them. It features the most complex and complicated mechanics to date, which is largely due to the sheer number of spells and craftable equipment, the latter of which succeeding skills in their entirety, for better or for worse. I won't lie, it took me a while to get used to and like this game, particularly being used to RW2 so much. I had some severe growing pains because of the difficulty curve and the general philosophy behind the removal of skills, but have since come to like and enjoy the variety that such a system offers. It should be noted that it is the least consistent entry in the series, because your progression in each run is gated by the presence of components, of which you won't always get what you need. As a tradeoff however, it also has the highest power level out of all them, because equipment is no longer limited per slot and you can craft some absurdly powerful combinations that clear the screen in a single turn without breaking a sweat. A nice addition is the new "wardrobe" feature, which allows you to unlock new costumes for your wizard after beating specific challenges, the majority of which are entirely new characters with unique graphics. It encourages trying different builds and completing challenges, which has always been Rift Wizard's "lategame" so to speak, once you're familiarized with the base game. While there's some arguments to be had that its similarity to previous entries discourages its pricing, it should be noted that RW3 is the most different one in the trilogy, both visually and mechanically, and therefore justifies much more of a purchase over RW2, than RW2 did for RW1. If the concept of this seems intriguing, and you have a liking for simple games that let you experiment endlessly to become a god in a variety of ways, I cannot recommend this game enough.
Aboslute Giga-Chad Developer, great game. It's a dungeon-crawling fever dream. Be ready to read, and think. You have a run as a Wizard, trying to destroy Mordred. You have points to spend on spells and upgrades for those, and you find components that you can craft into equipment. Combine those two together, and you have a plethora of insanely fun builds that you can pull off. For anybody who enjoys theory crafting, this game is great. And I want to reiterate again, great developer, kudos!! <3
