Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 23 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Ridge, developed by Yakovlev Vladislav and published by Volens Nolens Games, is an atmospheric first-person exploration game that leans heavily into isolation, environmental mystery, and slow-burn discovery. Rather than presenting a tightly scripted narrative or action-driven experience, Ridge positions itself as a contemplative journey through a strange and unsettling region inspired by folklore, unexplained phenomena, and a sense of quiet unease. It is a project that clearly reflects the ambitions of a solo developer, aiming to evoke curiosity and tension through space, sound, and suggestion rather than exposition. The game drops players into a sprawling natural environment marked by rocky terrain, dense forests, abandoned structures, and a surprisingly extensive network of caves. Exploration is the central mechanic, with little hand-holding or explicit direction. Instead, players are encouraged to wander, observe, and piece together meaning from environmental details. Burned trees, scattered ruins, and unusual landmarks hint at past events without spelling them out, creating an experience that feels closer to environmental storytelling than a traditional narrative adventure. This approach fosters a strong sense of solitude, making the world itself the primary storyteller. A defining aspect of Ridge is its cave systems, which form the backbone of both exploration and atmosphere. Descending into these dark, winding spaces often feels genuinely oppressive, with limited visibility and ambient sounds heightening tension. The caves are not just visual set pieces; they serve as hubs for discovery, danger, and progression. Navigating them requires patience and awareness, and the lack of clear guidance can make exploration feel either deeply immersive or frustratingly opaque, depending on player preference. Visually, Ridge benefits from its use of Unreal Engine 4, which lends the environments a grounded, realistic texture despite the game’s indie scope. Lighting plays a major role in shaping the mood, especially during nighttime exploration or within subterranean areas. Dynamic time-of-day and weather systems add variation to the world, occasionally transforming familiar locations into something more threatening or eerie. While these systems do not radically alter gameplay, they reinforce the feeling that the environment is alive and unpredictable. Sound design is one of the game’s strongest tools. Ambient audio—wind through trees, distant echoes, subtle environmental noises—creates a constant undercurrent of unease. Music is used sparingly, allowing silence and natural sounds to dominate. This restraint amplifies tension and makes moments of discovery or threat feel more pronounced. The audio experience works in tandem with the visuals to immerse players in a space that feels lonely and uncertain. Ridge does introduce elements beyond pure exploration, including light combat and encounters with hostile entities. These moments are relatively rare and simple in execution, functioning more as interruptions to exploration than as a fully developed combat system. For some players, these encounters add variety and stakes; for others, they feel underdeveloped compared to the game’s environmental strengths. Combat mechanics lack the refinement of dedicated action titles, reinforcing the idea that Ridge is fundamentally about atmosphere rather than confrontation. The game’s pacing and structure are intentionally loose, which is both its defining strength and its most common point of criticism. With minimal objectives and limited feedback, players can sometimes feel lost or unsure of what progress looks like. The mystery unfolds slowly and subtly, and those expecting clear answers or narrative payoffs may find the experience unsatisfying. Conversely, players who enjoy ambiguous storytelling and self-directed exploration may appreciate the freedom and interpretive space the game provides. Technically, Ridge shows signs of its indie origins. While the environments can be striking, inconsistencies in polish, occasional bugs, and rough edges in controls or animations can break immersion. These issues do not render the game unplayable, but they do remind players that this is a passion project rather than a fully polished AAA experience. Over time, these shortcomings can become more noticeable, especially for players sensitive to technical friction. Ultimately, Ridge is a game defined by mood and curiosity rather than mechanics or narrative clarity. It invites players to slow down, pay attention, and accept uncertainty as part of the experience. For fans of walking simulators, environmental mysteries, and atmospheric exploration, it offers a distinctive and occasionally haunting journey. For players seeking strong storytelling, clear goals, or refined systems, it may feel directionless or undercooked. Ridge succeeds not by providing answers, but by creating a space where questions linger long after exploration ends, making it a memorable—if imperfect—entry in the indie exploration genre. So ive played a few games that i believe are similar to this, (aporia and drizzlepath), those games blatantly had 2 things different than this game. They both has plot, this game from the 16 minutes i played and walked around confused for, did not. This walking simulator, like others, tries to rely heavily on its graphics, and while thats fine in general, this game seems to over-do it. On entering the game, i almost got motion sickness, the characters head bobs around like crazy. Theres also damage, but no health bar, and stamina, but no stamina bar. The game tells me to find what i think was a Leve (i probably forgot the word), which i didnt bother searching up. You also emit weird noises sometimes, and ambient only plays when your moving at times. Simply put this game looked ok, but it had not plot, overdid the graphics, and the sound and gameplay where both a mess. If I want to see nice graphics, I can literally just go to an actual forest. Thats why walking simulators are supposed to be plot heavy.

Graficos, sonidos y musica, pasable. 2.5/10 - Pesimo lore y jugabilidad, podria tener potencial
