About
Retro Run is a first-person action-paced platformer with difficult-to-beat enemies, where you can either platform your way through a 80s' synthwave aesthetic or fight your way through dystopian cyberpunk environments where the police has been corrupted by the New Order.
Currently, there are five game modes in which the gameplay varies. There are two primary types: platforming and shooter.
The original game mode for Retro Run, that involves platforming from tower to tower, collecting crystals while avoiding falling into the endless void below.
This shooter-type game mode requires jumping from car to car, attempting to evade the corrupted guards.
Similar to the Platforms game mode, with additional challenges. Dodge deadly windmills while moving quickly, as the platforms will now collapse if stood upon for too long.
Another shooter-type game mode where you navigate through the New Order's facility, taking down corrupt guards.
This is a mode that is more for fun and highscore focused.
The game has hints of a story, but is not story-based and does not offer a story mode.

Super fun little game with huge potential! Love the graphics, soundtrack and different variants of game modes. "KILL 'EM ALL" was my favorite mode. Loved to challenge myself with the speedruns. Since there's not any "World Record" leaderboards at the time. I feel like posting my best time. Good luck trying to beat that! KILL 'EM ALL lvl1 - 00:02:08 lvl2 - 00:03:32 lvl3 - 00:04:98 lvl4 - 00:07:26 lvl5 - 00:08:65 PS: There is not alot of games that make me rage.... this one did. Highly recommend!
awful A runner where the jump height seems rng, the grappling either insta kills you, throws you backwards into your death, doesn't work and there is no feeling of speed/distance to it, so the slow chance you actually can grapple it properly you properly undershoot or overshoot. I alt+f4 after 6 levels. I wasted like 5 minutes trying to use the grappling mechanic to my benefit but I ended up like 99% of the time dying instantly or enjoying my fall into the void after the button press was ignored.
