Video Store Simulator hat mich von der ersten Minute an begeistert. Die Mischung aus entspannter Shop-Simulation, Management und der nostalgischen Atmosphäre einer klassischen Videothek ist einfach großartig. Es macht unglaublich viel Spaß, die Regale zu organisieren, den Laden auszubauen und immer mehr Kunden zufriedenzustellen. Besonders die Liebe zum Detail fällt sofort auf. Der Laden fühlt sich lebendig an, das Gameplay ist angenehm entschleunigt und trotzdem motiviert einen jede Verbesserung, weiterzuspielen. Die Entwickler haben hier wirklich Herzblut hineingesteckt. Wer Simulatoren liebt oder einfach mal in Erinnerungen an die goldene Zeit der Videotheken schwelgen möchte, sollte dieses Spiel unbedingt ausprobieren. Für mich schon jetzt eines der entspannendsten und gleichzeitig süchtig machendsten Simulationsspiele überhaupt. Klare Empfehlung – Daumen hoch! 👍🎥🍿

Lowkey fulfilling my dream of owning a blockbuster in the 90s. Dream come true, gng. "The Machine In The Velvet Room" is oddly enough, an absolute banger amongst customers. I don't even want to KNOW what's on that thing for it to be constantly rented. Adult film/10

Retro Rewind is a very good, entertaining little nostalgia machine with an enjoyable gameplay loop. Stocking shelves, serving customers and building up and expanding your store is satisfying, while extras such as popcorn, arcade machines and bootleg videos make it nicely immersive. The main problem is that once you have enough staff, the game starts playing itself while you supervise like a manager who has successfully delegated away his own entertainment. The returns desk also becomes rather tedious, and there probably is not much more than 15–20 hours of meaningful play here. Still, those hours are charming, immersive and well worth having.
