About

You applied for a job at MageMart and were hired on the spot!
The store is closing in 30 minutes and there are a bunch of customers who need your help! Earn 5-star reviews and receive the praise and adoration of management… or insult everyone you meet to get 1-star rants as you throw the store into chaos and flames.
What kind of Retail Mage are you?
We're super excited to share one of the first games to use Gen AI not as part of generating any of our assets (awesome artists hand placed every block of cheese and every human skull inside MageMart), but in powering our game engine to allow players to do almost anything they can imagine! If you're looking to get creative and goofy with some friends in pushing the boundaries of what you can do and what you can get the game to allow, Retail Mage should be right up your alley.
We're really excited to make a game where you and your friends can try just about anything, and have had a lot of fun watching players turn MageMart into an Iron Chef Cookoff, a would-be dating sim, and more!

That said, if you're thinking of buying RETAIL MAGE, do keep in mind that we are a very passionate but small team, and that this is not a blockbuster experience with hours and hours of content. But we're very excited to offer you a one of a kind game that lets you create your own objectives and goals, with some hidden bits of lore and mystery to discover as well!
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have feedback, questions, or problems with the game. We'll do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible and provide support as needed. And we're excited to sneak little things in here and there with a few patches as well (we already had one or two roll out thanks to some great suggestions from folks in reviews and in feedback!)
Do let us know if you enjoyed the game too, as it's always a delight to hear and share with our team!

Retail Mage is at its best as a party game played with friends. Invite up to three other retail mages to join your shift and get creative in how you help (or hinder) the MageMart customers!
Meet a friendly crow plushie with sage advice. Befriend an absent-minded mannequin with hidden talents.
Work together (or troll each other) as you discover the secrets of the store.
Everyone knows that minimum wage magical retail labor is more fun with friends!

Say what you want to say (literally, with voice to text) and choose from dialog options generated on the spot.
Get creative with how you interact with everything in the store. Rip a page out of a book you find. Search a haystack for a needle. Draw a picture of a giraffe on the back of a priceless painting. At MageMart, if you can imagine it, you can try to do it*!
(*Critical failures for outlandish actions may result in demoralization, injury, or spontaneous combustion.)

Character Customization: choose your flair and customize your look for your Retail Mage!
Strengths and Skills: what unique strengths and special skills makes you an invaluable member of the MageMart family?
Personalized Backstory: your answers to 3 short interview questions creates your character’s unique backstory.
Dynamic Dialog: say what you want to say (literally, with voice to text) and choose from dialog options that reflect your intent.
Creative Interactions: get inventive, playful, and silly with what you do with the various objects in MageMart! The game will (magically) tell you whether you're successful or not!

This game is frickin' hilarious! Look at me, I'm Harry Potterybarn! In my store the customer is not only always wrong, they are also ON FIRE! The devs should charge more given this is releasing withheld traumas of my teenage retail jobs I didn't know I still had in me. I hope they come up with a manager quest so we can torture them like they tortured us!!!!!! Oops, sorry, the retail job flashbacks are real folks!
The recommended specs are totally wrong. my GPU and CPU are way over the recommended and it's throttling my GPU (6600xt) with max settings, and still using 70% on minimum. Wanted to see if it was just an issue on my end, so my boyfriend installed it - same issue. Devs asked for my game log 11 days ago to look into the issue but haven't responded since.
What an awesome game! Retail mage presents you with challenges and then lets you solve them in your own magical way. Can't way to put in some shifts with some friends!
Retail Mage does a magical job of placing you into a truly open way of interacting with a game - open prompts where you can speak or type what you want the game to do, and the game generating unexpected (and sometimes desired) outcomes. Definitely worth playing as a unique experience.
Fun game to play with friends.
I love this game its fun and energetic but i woud love the option to use your magic on the customers i still love it
This feels more like a demo, and there has been no significant updates to the game besides the very first one. Very disappointing :c
Loved it. Totally hilarious and the rage you feel chasing the customers around everywhere. Especially the smart arses that don't stop to look at things. My sister and I laughed a lot playing this together. If I could recommend anything it'd be to have different levels, or ways to upgrade the store, VIP customers maybe extended games like over a week. As my siblings are so competitive ranking who's the best worker of the day would be humorous as we'd fight for that. Even if there's awards for different things so more chances for everyone to rank in something. I enjoyed the game a lot!
A labor of love and a really interesting concept for AI language in games. Looking forward to see where it goes!
This game is so silly goofy and fun. It's a great way to unwind after a long day, and very fun to play with friends.
