The music is a very pleasant and relaxing masterpiece to listen to while restoring. The graphics are excellent, it will allow you to take beautiful screenshots that will amaze your friends. Definitely a pretty game, but I'm a little on the fence. You are a budding artist trying to make a name for yourself via a mobile service of repairing damaged artwork. Your customers video call you on your smartphone, of which you really need a better carrier since you're stuck using Wi-Fi all the time. Or maybe you just can't shill for the top level unlimited plan because you're a starving artist. If you don't feel like "conversing" with the characters, click the hang-up button. The "home" button on the phone takes you out to the main game screen or exits the game completely. I can't tell if you're living on your phone constantly or if you need a better phone too, because the thing is always charging the battery. (Sorry, new geek hobby hanging out at wireless carrier forum constantly is showing; I'll shut up now.) You will complete about 35 "jobs" per area of the city you're being called to visit and there are 3 different neighborhoods you're working in, so about 105 jobs total. You do not have to completely finish all the jobs in one neighborhood to unlock the next one; a new part of town opens up after you've completed about 2/3s of the previous one. If you finish all the jobs, the CE content of 24 extra levels unlocks. There is also a music player in the CE extras, but not much else as the other things showing in the CE section are accessible in the main game. The art restoration puzzles are of the "find where in the picture this bit matches" sort of a jigsaw puzzle variant, but the image starts out mostly obscured so it's a matter of finding which one or maybe 2 of the starting playing pieces you have match an area which is visible and going from there until you get the entire picture showing. Other games you get to play as a part of your restoration work include removing stamps or stickers attached to posters or paintings (HOS or clutter games). And then you are sometimes tasked by some customers to create custom work, in which you get to do a paint by numbers game. This is more tricky than most other games in the genre, because you only have 5 random colors showing at any time, so even if there's a zillion of "12", color 12 probably isn't available until you do the 5 colors which there's only 2-3 sections as an example. There are 3 "just for fun" HOS of the traditional variety to play for fun (no coins earned, while other "jobs" get you money to upgrade your art studio and buy better tools to work with). The CE puzzles are a little different because you get traditional jigsaw puzzles, which I really liked because they were well designed in terms of the mechanics: no pieces lying all over the working area, options to view a thumbnail image of the finished puzzle or have the image showing in the background of the working area as a help, snap to grid with pieces, and being able to move attached pieces as a group. There are also swap 2 versions of jigsaws, plus more sticker and stamp HOS/clutter games. Nice background music and you're given a choice at the beginning of a Victorian-themed art studio or a modern no-frills look studio to furnish as your reputation builds. You also get to buy better supplies as you progress to do your work. The custom cursor is either huge or smaller; you can't play with the Windows cursor. Three different difficulty options to pick from which can be changed at any time. I played on the hardest mode, which I think charges the hint button the slowest and in the HOS, you get "clues" instead of the actual name of the item to find for some objects. There was also either a timer or mistake counter at the bottom of the screen. While it's not necessarily obvious, you can replay any previously completed level for more gold by clicking on the picture icon at the bottom right to bring up a menu of all the completed levels in that neighborhood. The game was soft released on Steam first to work out the kinks, and maybe this is why I'm mixed about it. I'd played roughly halfway through before being told there was a bug with the sticker games where sometimes they were impossible to solve without guessing, which made it frustrating since I was also playing on the hardest difficulty. In the "extreme" mode at least, misclicking dings you on time or costs you a heart (mistake) and if you run out, have to start over. The restoration puzzles can be quite an eye-straining challenge with many of the pictures having repetitive elements to them. But the most annoying thing was how gold and silver coins randomly appear as you're going through a level, and you only have a few seconds to pick them up before they disappear! I can't tell you how many coins I've lost due to being focused on doing the main objective of the level - or even worse, noticing a coin just as it's disappearing and then getting dinged for a misclick because the coin vanished just as I was clicking on it! The coins blend into the background a lot, and it was driving my gaming OCD nuts. The sticker/stamp games all used the same set of vintage stamps (OK, they're really interesting looking, but still...) by the halfway point of the game and this continued on for all the remaining sticker games to the end and also the CE bonus games. I'm pretty sure the game is still getting some upgrades as I write, so maybe this will be addressed. It's not a bad effort and different and pretty enough to be worth checking out.

As an art restorer in a new town, you get to work in the gallery and in the neighbouring houses. You get to restore artwork by completing puzzles pieces, you get to retouch images, to scrape unwanted material off to give the artwork its original glory. I haven't finished the game yet, but will do it soon! PROS: - Story and design already engages; - Feels like a mobile game; - Different levels of puzzles and difficulty; - Easy to learn mechanics; - In-game purchases to furnish the house and to complete levels; - The artworks are stunning, all of them! Eventually, you'll restore artwork from local artists in three nearby towns: Maplewood, Brookshire, and Sunnyside. Each client has a different situation, and therefore, each piece of art will require a different solution to restore it. This is accomplished by solving various puzzles. [h3]PHOTO RETOUCH[/h3] This is a Hidden Object Scene in which you are tasked with finding Listed Items, Multiples of Similar/Related Objects, or Items that match a Riddled Clue, such as "A feathered friend's iron-woven castle" or "A nomad's chest." [h3]TORN PIECES[/h3] This is my favorite puzzle!! The goal is to restore the artwork, which only shows a few pieces initially, so you'll have to look for any matching details on the available tiles. As you place a tile correctly, that section will blend with the tile you placed and fill in small sections. Therefore, you may have tiles that overlap portions of the art as sections are filled in. It's not complicated, but it is challenging. [h3]BURNT PIECES[/h3] This is the same as the Torn Pieces puzzle above, but the artwork has been burned versus torn. [h3]STICKER SEARCH[/h3] In the sticker search puzzles, you remove layers of stickers that match the motif of listed descriptions, such as hearts, unicorns, kings, or mushrooms.  Because of the layered effect, you will have to pay attention to small details. As you remove a category, new categories are added.   [h3]STAMP MATCH[/h3] The goal is to remove all of the Stamps by matching identical pairs. Just as in the Sticker Search game, the stamps cover the whole scene and have several layers that are exposed as you remove the ones on the top. [h3]COLORING[/h3] This is a stained-glass, paint-by-numbers puzzle where you fill in sections that match the numbers shown on the right side. As you complete one group of numbers, others become available, so you can't just click around wildly; you have to search for the available numbers. The stained-glass images are gorgeous! [h3]STUDIO UPGRADES[/h3] You will collect your fee after each puzzle/restoration is complete, but you'll also collect coins that appear briefly during most of the puzzle games. You must manually collect the coins with a single click before they disappear. The money you earn allows you to purchase equipment for your new studio. You will also have to purchase a few "tools" during the game as you progress, such as scrapers or specific colors of ink. It's lovely but just so everyone's aware this game is made with primarily AI voices and images. I'm uncertain whats not AI in this game because everything I seen was in fact AI. I do not mind AI but I'm not paying for it.

Beautiful puzzle game where you restore paintings through classic yet wonderful mini-games. After you choose one of the two studios (it doesn't matter which) you can already start doing your first job. Only one town is available at the start, but you unlock two more later. A town contains around 30 jobs where you will need to do various things. Clients will unlock in order, but each client can have several jobs with its own theme. There’s an old woman who likes cat images, a guy who enjoys paintings of famous people, a young man who’s fascinated by Italian coastal towns, etc. Each town has its own clients. Jobs come in the form of five mini-games that should be familiar to any fan of this genre. However, the presentation is a lot more interesting because all games are related to art restoration. Retouch jobs, for instance, are classic HOG scenes where you look for items from a list. A slight difference is that you don’t have the entire list because there’s room for only five words on the right side of the screen. An item may be listed with a single word or a brief description, and you may need to search for further products that match the same word. When you find something, the empty space will be filled with another word. The tricky part is that certain things can be tucked underneath others, so you'll need to remove them first. Most of the time, you know you need to click on an obvious thing, but you can't since the word hasn't yet appeared on the list. A similar game uses a scrapper to remove stickers to reveal the image underneath. Each sticker is unique with amazing art. Another mini-game wants you to restore burnt or torn image. This is done by picking a small piece and dropping it on the appropriate spot. The puzzle already has part of the image restored to help you start. Each placed piece reveals a bit more of the image. Then you have coloring, where you have to color numbered spots with matching colors, and matching where you need to clear the board by matching the same stamps. A successful job brings you money. This is never an issue because jobs can be repeated for as much money as desired. While it should come easily during normal gameplay, money is utilized to purchase various things and tools for restoration. You cannot take a job unless you have the necessary tools. Fortunately, you only need to buy them once, not for each task. You can also spend money to improve the appearance of your studio. Depending on your skill level and available time, you can make the game more difficult by slowing down hint recharge and increasing the difficulty of the puzzles. You can also fail a puzzle on the hardest setting, whereas on the easiest, the screen simply goes black for a few seconds. Everything works great and without any issues. Unfortunately, there are no achievements.

Whoever put this game together is a great artist. I am really enjoying all of the art, from traditional to modern. Beautiful colors and a game that has a lot of variety. Hope they keep making more of these types of games.
