About
What is Responding?
Responding is an upcoming open-world Emergency Services simulator sandbox that offers a realistic and in-depth Police, Fire, and EMS experience that is set in a fictional version of New York State.
In the world of Responding, you, as the player, have complete freedom to engage in pursuits, traffic stops, shootouts, 4th alarm box fires, and much more. Work together with friends or intelligent AI to keep the city and upstate suburbs safe and peaceful.
Features
Scene management plays a big role with any incident, and it's not just up to you to manage the scene, AI will take on any roles to resolve the situation, keep the scene safe or to collect evidence and witnesses statements.
Besides regular traffic stops and wellness checks Responding offers unprecedented action within emergency services simulators, with mechanics seen in your favourite tactical shooters such as tactical reloads, holding your breath, ammo management and much more.
We like customization and we know you do, we desire to bring this to various aspects of Responding, beginning with the vehicles. From the equipment you store in your trunks to the placement of antennas on the roof. And it doesn't stop there!
Seamlessly pull over any vehicle that you've seen breaking the law, or even when none is broken at all. Question the driver for his behavior and decide if the driver deserves a ticket, warning or a pass, but do not be surprised if the vehicle or the driver suddenly attempt to evade you and the law.
Bringing the most in depth and realistic emergency lighting system, with customization that allows you to create unique lighting patterns by setting the on and off time for each lighting module. And it doesn't stop there, create 3 presets to switch between in real-time and set the desired text to display on your message board!
Become part of our active community on discord, this is the place to discuss the future of Responding and to voice your opinion on the desires for the ultimate emergency simulator!

Très prometteur, mais j’attends de voir des mises à jour. Actuellement difficilement jouable mais ça annonce que du bon !
hi budden john ok
Game has the potential of being great. It will replace downloading FiveM RP for me cause this is what we looking for action along with the extra work. They have to just fix the bugs with the map and crashing. Walking through walls and falling underground in some areas. I like the computer in the car and at the station for information look up and writing citations. The need more PCT I can spawn to and different colors cops. NYPD is not only a white department it’s very mixed. The way to draw your weapon should be better because in a fire fight situation pressing 2 then H to un holster going to get me killed fast

i cant get a accroate review it is way way way way way way to early its best to wait for me at least i tryed to go to 2 diffrent calls one i got stuck in the road heading there (needed to restart) and other where it was in a apartment that did not exist so my best responce to this game wait before you buy
As of 13 Jun 2026 the Game feels vary pre alpha. it has a lot of potential and promise. The playable map is quite small what you would expect for something in pre alpha not alpha. the biggest issue I had was understanding the controls. tooltips would often disappear with no way to get them back except for going through the motions. IE entering and exiting a vehicle just to see the interior controls for the vehicle again. nothing feels mapped out very well as far as the control side. that being said quest objective tracking is really difficult. you'll spend more time trying to figure out what you're even supposed to be doing and where exactly you're supposed to go. it definitely is a buggy mess but that's to be expected for something in a pre alpha development. I will look back in on this game in a year or so.
From my experience the game is very good and realistic but what heavily needs to be fixed ASAP and i MEAN immediatly as fast as possible are the bugs and an car spawner is required and the bugs such as persons shooting thru an metal thing by the cars and the commands definetly would need to be fixed too and also we need more callouts and what i also dislike is the immediate shift start i like it when i can first can customize my character and then start my shift
This is unplayable in it's current state. I hope the devs can push some serious quality of life updates asap.
I honestly don’t understand how anyone can recommend this game, or how anyone has managed to play it for more than a few hours. There is simply not enough here to keep you engaged. The game is buggy, the controls are often unclear or simply don’t work as intended, and development appears to be moving at an extremely slow pace. I purchased this game quite some time ago, well before it was released here on Steam, and unfortunately, I’ve never really been able to properly play it. There is nothing enjoyable about trying to learn controls that don’t consistently work, dealing with buggy vehicles, driving around a small and lifeless map, and finding very little actual gameplay to experience. It doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, which is a real shame. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing this game. At this point, I genuinely worry that the game will be dead before it ever reaches its potential. I find it difficult to understand some of the positive reviews. Perhaps those players have had a better experience than I have, but from my perspective, the game currently feels more like a buggy driving sandbox than a finished or enjoyable game. Stay away, at least for now. Sorry, developers, but after giving this plenty of time, I simply cannot find enough here to recommend.
Its pretty good for an early access game. A few bugs here and there and the optimization isn't the best. There's only like 3-4 calls that can spawn. I haven't done any traffic stops yet but I hope to see improvement in the future. Call it an investment.
I didn't get to play the game, because there was no tutorial. Also it's poorly optimized & confusing. I'll try it again next update.
