About

Are you sleeping on the job again?
It's your first day at [the company.] You've been tasked with recovering damaged oxygen tanks scattered throughout the facility. Don't ask what they're for. Don't ask where they came from. Aaron used to do the same job. Don't ask about Aaron. Focus on Cynthia: She's kind to you, isn't she? Doesn't she care?
Is anything on the dead internet worth saving?
Every frame of REPOSE is meticulously hand-crafted pixel art. The atmosphere assembled with sharp focus on every detail. Every moment of gameplay methodically built to maximize tension and intrigue. What is this place? The facility just keeps going down and down.
Are you going to find any answers once you reach the bottom?

At a Glance Review: I recommend REPOSE as a good afternoon game, and held my attention longer than the sandwich that I could've bought with the price take. Longer Review: REPOSE is definitely an interesting game to talk about. It feels like more of a puzzle game than a true dungeon crawler, which isn't a bad thing. With the intro and the ambience, I was expecting more dreadful horror. REPOSE is not an accident in your pants game however, more flavored with dreadful ambiance which I pleasantly enjoyed. Having to manage your resources became a very interesting dance between bed rests, and finding out that puzzle is great! It just sucks because it offers little in terms of replay value when you know all the routes to take. The endgame stretch for a secret ending was a cool dungeon to go through. I ran into a slight issue when it came to item switching; items not reading fast enough deal with different threats. You just have to adjust your groove which took a second to get used to. The main ending felt a bit underwhelming. Basic Eco-Activistic message that I can get behind but while feeling accomplished, I was left with a sense of "That's it? Seen it done that." The first secret ending was a nice fill in the gap moment. It explains your character and the wider picture of what you went through in the main story. The second secret ending though... Holy hell. I am left with more questions than answers seeing that. It definitely filled me with a sense of wanting more, to learn about what I saw there. And I guess that is my main takeaway sitting on the ending after a day of finishing it. I want more of REPOSE. It was short and sweet, but I wanted it to last longer, WHICH IS A GOODISH PROBLEM TO HAVE! Unfortunately, because I know the solutions, replaying it won't have the same impact as my first playthrough. Good Game. Get it or don't, I'm not your parent.
Killer exploration puzzle game. Amazing visuals. Eery atmospheric score. Short and punchy.
Burnoutinho ilustrado... 10/10
Review
Repose is defined as a state of rest, sleep, or tranquility... There is not a better word I could use to describe this game. It's main save mechanics even revolve around that very concept. Every step you take drains what little energy you have left to go on, and caffeine can only take you so far. The only respite You'll find from the waking nightmare being the beds scattered throughout the monolithic facility. However, do not fret, for you are not alone... A lonely few seem to find themselves in your very same predicament. Working for the same nameless company without any memory of how you all got here, or more worrisome, why? However, this is just the surface of Repose , and the story grants you many opportunities as you attempt to uncover your past and the true nature of the company. Both seem to be heavily shrouded in mystery without any leads to go off of except for the scattered notes left by an unknown author. The facility also appears to be overrun by amalgamations of flesh and wires that cut off your path at every turn and delay your progress. Can you stay awake long enough to decipher the mystery, and survive to tell the tale?
Overall Thoughts:
I can honestly say that this is a 10/10 game, and I definitely don't use that number lightly. everything from the sound design, to the retro control scheme seems to draw me in. The story is also mysterious, hidden behind layers of notes and subtle dialogue. For a game that can be completed in 2hrs or less, and with a price point of only $8 USD you can't beat it. It's the perfect bite sized experience to scratch that Minimalist mystery horror itch, and would be so easily overlooked. AAA game studios could learn a thing or two from this developer and I truly hope they release another project soon! I hope you found this review helpful and find the same enjoyment in Repose that I did! With that said I bid y'all Farewell. - See ya!
If the trailer speaks to you, chances are you will enjoy the experience. Give it a shot.
A short and sweet game for the curious and explorer types. And that's the whole point of the game - if you know, you know. Simple gameplay with a reflexive rock-paper-scissor type combat. Though, I wouldn't recommend the game for anyone who has absolute trouble with sense of direction. It can also be played in ONE HAND. ... Though, it's not THAT kind of game. But at least you can have a drink or a snack as you enjoy the short experience.
5 Point review 5 pros and 5 cons. Thumbs up or down is just my personal like or dislike of the game. Pro

Aesthetically interesting not many games use this art style.
The game is short enough that the vague nature of the story does not overstay its welcome,
The trial and error nature of the game means you will never get stuck.
Achievements fully explore everything the game has to offer.
Sound design is superb.
Con

The save system feels pointless.
Barely anything is explained even by the end.
The horror theme feels like window dressing and nothing is done with it.
There is very little exploration, more puzzle trial and error then anything.
enemies rarely evolve to pose much of a threat or change up the method of dealing with them.
Fun little mystery game, ~2.1 hours to 100% completion.

The atmosphere and style is what really drives this game forward. The controls take a little getting used to, but once you start to figure out the layout of the maps, solving the puzzles with your step count is really satisfying. The story is intriguing and the use of the save system to discover two additional endings, each further expanding on the original ending, is very gratifying.
