💬 Supportive Caveat This is a very short continuation of Red Ops: The First Infection, which took me roughly 50 to 60 minutes to complete with only two minor choices that do not meaningfully alter the story, so it plays closer to a kinetic VN rather than a branching one. For those coming in from the first entry, Zach is not forgotten. Chris continues to think about him throughout, which helps anchor the emotional throughline of the series even as this side story introduces a new dynamic. Jake will be a make-or-break element. He is written as flirty, cocky, and cocksure, and some players will find that swagger highly appealing. For me, his early dialogue and behavior were a major hurdle: he makes casually homophobic and ageist comments, and his repeated unasked-for advances toward Chris are framed as sexy tension, but they did not land for me. Chris does call out the homophobia and ageism, so it is not treated as acceptable, but Jake does not really seem to engage with it and the story moves on quickly. The game does try to soften him over a very short in-game window, and that shift may feel abrupt depending on your tolerance for this kind of archetype. Still, the ending delivers real narrative payoff, and it is what ultimately made this work for me overall, even if I would have appreciated more player agency around the final scene, as the available options may not align with every player’s interpretation of Chris or their comfort with the dynamic. 🎮 Gameplay & Genre A short, sex-forward M/M visual novel with minimal interactivity. There are two choices, but they do not significantly change the outcome. One recurring Vincere Studio gripe: achievements are in-game only, not Steam achievements. If you care about Steam tracking and completion, you will not get it here. Replay value is limited unless you are revisiting specific scenes. Presentation is slightly more polished than the previous entry, with tighter UI and smoother CG integration. 🔥 M/M Content Explicit M/M content, told from Chris’s perspective, with multiple erotic scenes. The CGs are well executed and clearly a core draw. A large portion of the tension centers on Jake’s forward approach to Chris. If you enjoy bold, pushy flirting, it may work well. If you prefer clearer opt-in dynamics or more player control, it may be a sticking point. 🎨 Visuals & Style Strong character art and polished CGs. The bodies lean big bara jock, broad shoulders, thick chests, powerful builds, which fits the setting well since these are special agents and are meant to read as elite and physically formidable. Overall, the visual polish is a step up from the first game. 🗣️ Tone & Writing The writing is straightforward and occasionally uneven. Chris remains a solid anchor, and his continued thoughts about Zach clarify where his emotional center lies, even as the Jake dynamic adds tension. Jake’s softening happens quickly, and whether it feels earned will depend on the player. The ending provides the clearest emotional and narrative payoff. 👍 Best Thing The ending. 👎 Worst Thing Minimal agency, plus in-game-only achievements. Jake’s early characterization may also be a hurdle if that archetype is not your thing. ⭐ Final Verdict Short, polished, and visually strong, with an ending that delivers real narrative payoff. Recommended, with the note that Jake’s forward, cocky dynamic and early dialogue may be divisive for some players.
Short and hot
I really liked the game. I think there will be a sequel. At first, I was disappointed when I didn't see Zach in the game, but he did show up in the end. I've been a huge fan of his ever since the first game. And I think Chris and Zach are the perfect couple.
It only took 90 minutes to play through the entire story; it's short, but it's a good story. I liked the dynamics and everything that happened. There aren't many choices in this one; the goal is to follow the story, and it's worth it. From the menu, it seems like there are many CGs, but there are twice as many as necessary, since it includes CG of Chris's body style. I liked this one as much as the first one. 8/10.
