Really Simple Golf is truly simple, just aim and shoot! Then just make your way up an assortment of moving platforms, traps and all sorts of other evil ideas the course has for you! The game keeps things fresh by slowly introducing more obstacles and stepping away from "normalcy" in some levels! For a precision platformer the experience was quite chill! Sure I had moments of frustration but I never felt like quitting, in fact I wanted to keep going! Granted I've only played till level 7 of 15 so there very well could still be a level that does indeed make me break. The game also has difficulty settings so if you do reach that point you can always lower the difficulty!
OK, so I've played it for couple of minutes and I have my thoughts. This game is a little masterpiece in simplicity. Really Simple Golf is simply brilliant. Every now and then, a game comes along that reminds you why indie games are such a treasure, and this game is one of those rare gems. At first glance, it lives up to its name: minimalist visuals, easy to understand mechanics, and a no frills presentation. But give it five minutes, and you’ll quickly discover that beneath the surface lies an incredibly polished, satisfying, and addictive experience that’s equal parts relaxing and rewarding. Gameplay is both chill and challenging. This isn’t your average golf sim. it plays more like a physics based climbing platformer, where each shot demands thought, timing, and precision. The satisfaction of landing a tricky shot after multiple failed attempts is chef’s kiss. It has that “just one more shot” magic that keeps you hooked. Aesthetic is clean and vibrant. The visuals are crisp, colorful, and charming in their simplicity. It’s easy on the eyes and never distracts from the gameplay. It creates a genuinely calming atmosphere even during frustrating moments, which there are plenty. The game is really skill based, but never too overwhelming. There’s no RNG, no grind, no bloat. It feels like a love letter to pure game design: focused, tight, and incredibly replayable. If you liked games like Getting Over It, this is right up your alley. But with its own unique vibe. It rewards patience and experimentation. Really Simple Golf is anything but simple in its brilliance. It's one of those games that sneaks up on you and suddenly becomes a favorite. Whether you want a relaxing experience or a challenging puzzle, this game delivers with style and grace.
