[H1] YES YES YES YES! [/h1] Reaktron is a uniquely refreshing game which reminds me a lot of snake but with multiplayer! Its old skool battle royal with your friends or random team players or bots, or, if you want to hone your skills and relax it has single player. I am excited to say this game is unique! Yes! At last! This excites me a lot because not many of these bad boys come along! Reaktron has its own identity, it features some crisp and perfectly drawn retro sprites with that old asteroids feel… yes it has those little cure pixel explosions, with some awesome bass bashing menu trance music so make sure your sub woofers are turned on, you wont be disappointed! [b] So what’s it all about? [/b] Well you basically start the game shooting off in your desired direction, you have three controls to worry about before you hit a wall… that is Left / Activate / Right. With each left or right direction you turn 90 degrees… if you have collected a power up, then you press activate to use that power up. Controls can be changed at the start of the game, quite a lot to choose from that should suit most players, and personally I prefer ASD… now…. I will say…. if you’re not used to this type of game, you may find the controls utterly annoying, but please, bear with it and don’t lose patience because after 10 minutes you’ll start to possess real world skills that us kids in the 80s and 90s had, these are called reaction skills and they help your brain develop! There’s a few things I like about this game, first of all you can customise your little start icon, (believe me you need to do this to identify yourself!) The other thing is the power ups also known as “reaktrons”. You randomly collect these along the way which include slow down, teleporter, fader, reverser, bishop… and many more to help you stay alive or maybe it will send you to your death... Let me explain one power up to give more help, bishop; chess piece, this allows you to move diagonally… genius! Another feature, after each level the levels change, possibly bigger play area or some random unexpected stuff, anyway, get it and enjoy it… [b] verdict [/b] I rate this game, a 9 out of 10, it’s great, it’s actually a mini masterpiece and it’s great to see a game that holds its own style. Massive thanks to the developer for letting me experience your game, best of luck this game brings you. I feel it will be big success the more people that find it. At the time of writing the games only been released a few days so sadly not many players are online to engage with, but luckily it has bots to mess with until that happens and hopefully it will.
